BREAKING: Congressman Drafting Articles of Impeachment Against Lawless Anti-Trump Judge
PJ Media ^ | 2/11/25 | Matt Margolis

Over the weekend, an Obama-appointed judge issued a temporary injunction blocking the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing sensitive Treasury Department data. While the media frames this as a limited restriction on political appointees and special government employees, the reality appears far more sweeping.

Judge Paul Engelmayer’s ruling explicitly bars all political appointees—including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent—from Treasury payment records and financial systems, restricting access to career civil servants (essentially the Deep State) within the Bureau of Fiscal Services. This unprecedented move effectively prevents the Treasury secretary from overseeing his own department’s financial data, raising serious concerns about executive authority and the administration’s ability to govern.

The Trump administration’s lawyers argued Sunday that the injunction violates the president’s constitutional authority over the executive branch. They contend that a judge interfering with the president’s ability to manage his own staff and initiatives is a clear case of judicial overreach.

As Trump put it, “No judge should, frankly, be allowed to make that kind of a decision.” His statement underscores a fundamental concern about the separation of powers and the judiciary’s role in governance.

In addition to the Trump administration fighting back against this lawfare, Rep. Eli Crane (R-Ariz.) is taking things a step further and is drafting articles of impeachment against the judge.

“I’m drafting articles of impeachment for US District Judge Paul Engelmayer,” Crane said in a post on X. “Partisan judges abusing their positions is a threat to democracy.”

I believe it would require 2/3rd of Senate. So no chance of going past the House. But it would send a message like I can’t remember being done in my lifetime.

It would not get past the Senate, but others legally brighter here have stated it would sideline the judge for the duration.

There should be an impeachment of a leftist judge done every day in the House... and repeated everytime the leftist judge puts out an opinion that does nothing but give aid and comfort to the domestic and foreign enemies of the United States.

I think we are up to six leftist judges with wackadoodle rulings—all should be impeached simultaneously—with more added to the list as needed.

This is definitely worth doing—if the House can pass the resolution it sends a message even if the Senate will not get two thirds to convict.

Yeah...the Senate wont convict....but it would still be nice to see the judge dragged through the mud with the house impeachment...which could happen.

This needs to be done. Judicial misconduct complaints should be filed and anyone can do that.

It would result in an investigation. Then we might find the reason why these judges are doing this. Follow the money.

These judges can’t act like legislators and activists. They need to be stopped. POTUS Trump can simply ignore them but that’s not the real solution acting like the last guy.

I thinks it’s majority in House, 2/3 senate for conviction. Senate presides instead of chief justice as for president.
They want get conviction and House is not certain. But it will tarnish judge. It would also allow for investigation of judge and any connections to corrupt agencies. Need to do this with judge Colleen Kollety as well.
Senate power also usurped when political appointees confirmed by Senate prohibited with Besset.
Of course orders should be ignored as they are clearly. Anyone going along with judges order in the executive branch should be fired.
A memo could be issued by WH counsel informing staff to ignore court order or otherwise resign.

Does it require 2/3 of the House? We don’t have it.

Article III
Section 1

only requires a simple majority to remove for bad behavior, and does not require impeachment

"It would not get past the Senate, but others legally brighter here have stated it would sideline the judge for the duration."

Exactly. Tie these judges up with the same kind of lawfare they seem to be so fond of overseeing. Make them hire their own legal representation out of their own pockets, have investigators give them excruciatingly painful rectal exams and have very public hearings.

Impeachment requires a simple majority of the House.

Conviction requires two thirds of the Senate.
