After four years of gaslighting the American people that inflation was transitory or non-existent, and just days after assuming office, the Democrat Party is blaming inflation on President Donald Trump.
“Democrats slam Trump for not making good on promise to ‘immediately’ lower food prices,” reads the headline from far-left NBC News.
Some 20 Democrats, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Not Cherokee), sent Trump a letter on his sixth day in office attacking him over inflation:

These people are insufferable
It will be worth it in the end but will be a wild ride. Remember the energy crises and other corrections?
“Conservatives” are fickle, be thinking how we keep the momentum going.
They are essentially acknowledging Biden’s terrible economy.
They didn't decide to end the war in Vietnam until they could fob the embarrassment off on Nixon.
What a joke. They paid zero attention to inflation until they could attempt to blame it on a Republican.
Shoo flies. These folks should be ignored until they hop on the train. They fricked this country and do not deserve any attention.
That is correct. The Democrats always charge up the "national credit card", then blame their successors for the consequences when the bill comes due. That trick works pretty well almost every time.
Inflation is caused by government deficit spending. That has not stopped, so inflation will not stop. There is also a lag time of 6-12 months for a surge in spending to show up as general price increases. That makes it easier to blame someone else for the problem.
We are seeing price increases now due to government spending from last year.
If deficit spending were to stop today, we would not see the halt to inflation for about a year. However, we would see an immediate recession as purchases would drop then slowly redirect to new mixtures of goods and services. Many people would get laid off from their jobs and would need to find new ones.
One way or another that is what is coming.
The recession is not what corrects inflation. It is the halt in growth of the money supply as government stops borrowing and banks pull back on lending that stops inflation. They are not the same thing.
We have already seen "stagflation" where we get a combination of recession and inflation at the same time. We might have that too.
and their ‘base’ will buy it..............
How can they botch about Trump not doing something that that have said for years a president can’t simply lower prices.
