No. For a WWIII, the US would have to be facing at least a partially formidable enemy.
None fits that description among Iran, Syria and Iraq.

I don’t know. If Iran suddenly confirms their possession of a nuclear weapon, I’m sure Russia was a reason it got helped along

I count 2 seconds between flash and bang. That gives a distance of .4 miles from explosion to camera. I conclude they are small explosions.

[And the K135 just went dark.]
Landed? Turned off identification? (doubtful?)
[All considered something’s up.]
Wish we had more confirmation.

My girlfriend at the time noticed it in my collection, and got all offended. Too bad. So sad. Bye bye. You dodged a bullet. 😏

I agree. The mullahs are cowards. The regime will fold. Vote Trump. Reinstate the sanctions with some teeth.

“went dark” as in the transponder went off. Just curious happenings.

“No WWIII over Iran. Ukraine, maybe.”
Depends, of course. If Israel takes out Iran’s oil terminal island and Iran then shuts down the Straight of Hormuz anything could happen.
Could a shut down of the Persian Gulf lead some combination of nations to put boots on the ground? I sure hope not. How would China react? It couldn’t intervene, but it might decide to move closer to home.

Israel just had about 180 missiles fired into its territory
about a week ago.
Did anyone thing that was going to go unanswered?

FWIW the transponder came back on briefly as the the tanker dropped to 20K ft then went off again. This sure looks like an air refuel rendezvous.

Just a little anniversary party, IMHO. Nothing to see here.
