Thoughts? Concerns? I like the idea. Bigger tent.

Both are leftists disaffected mad at the Dems for varying reasons, but why would we want them in charge of policy?

The “big tent” needs to be a few fumigation tent. Too many insects got in last time.

I hope they do a better job than Chris Christie did. Once President Trump found out that Christie was giving jobs inside the new administration to his lobbyist buddies, Trump fired him and put Pence in charge of the transition.

That's why Christie hates President Trump so much.

Let’s not become too presumptive. I’d prefer Kamala talk in terms of eventuality...like Hillary.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard will join Former President Donald Trump’s potential transition team as honorary co-chairs if he wins the 2024 presidential election. …
Funny how Husebø capitalizes “Former” when it’s in the middle of a sentence rather than at the start. Seems like some kind of zeal . . .

Kennedy could play a big role at HHS. Gabbard could play a big role at DoD. I may not want either of them advising on tax policy, but they have strengths that are useful in advancing small-government conservatism.

Two voices of sanity will be helpful to Trump. I think this is a great idea.

They are all, to some degree, statists and progressives.

Even Trump believes in the power of Federal Government and DC to engineer and effect change on society - of course, if wielded by the right people.

There may be some on his team, but who are the strict Constitutional constructionists? Austrian-school economists? Libertarians? Christian Anarchists?

THAT would be a big tent. RFK and Gabbard? Not so much.

So everybody here is cool now with liberal Democrats picking and choosing Trump's cabinet members if he wins in November?

It truly is an upside-down world now.

I like that it’s honorary and not actual. Listened to, not acted upon.

I only want fiscal & social Conservatives in the Administration.
Folks with an America First attitude, who will go scorched earth on all the past conspirators and saboteurs. I want charges filed on day one, I want prosecutions, prison terms and executions, where treason is found.
There has to be retribution, or this just starts all over again.
Every evening news broadcast should begin with a list of well known clowns, who were hanged today.

I like it too. We need to replace 20th century "conservatism" with populism and nationalism.

* America First. No foreign wars, no foreign aid, no exceptions.

* Protectionism. High-paying American jobs, even if it means higher prices.

* Curtail Immigration. Fewer immigrants, both legal and illegal, both highly skilled and unskilled.

Neither Tulsi or Kennedy are completely down with that, but neither is Trump. Yet that's the direction we need to go in. And not worry whether it's "conservative" or not.

Not so much about a bigger tent as sending as message that an incoming Trump administration is going to clean the corruption within the political class.

Personnel is policy, and both Kennedy and Gabbard lived their lives as Democrats.

One question.

What are the planks of this new party?

The old GOP is dead. Trump killed it. With it any hope of a fiscal conservative candidate in my lifetime.

Imagine a Democrat, RFK Jr., in charge of “Downsizing” the CIA and FBI. Most people believe that they had some part in his uncle and father’s death. Shove that back at the Ds in Congress responsible for 4 years of crap in office and 3 and 1/2 now while out of office. I like those Optics better than Trump doing it himself.
