Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard will join Former President Donald Trump’s potential transition team as honorary co-chairs if he wins the 2024 presidential election.

A transition team enables an orderly and peaceful transfer of power and conducts post-election responsibilities, such as vetting, selecting, and appointing presidential personnel.

“We look forward to having their powerful voices on the team as we work to restore America’s greatness,” Brian Hughes, a Trump campaign senior adviser, told the New York Times on Tuesday.

Both are leftists disaffected mad at the Dems for varying reasons, but why would we want them in charge of policy?

The “big tent” needs to be a few fumigation tent. Too many insects got in last time.

I hope they do a better job than Chris Christie did. Once President Trump found out that Christie was giving jobs inside the new administration to his lobbyist buddies, Trump fired him and put Pence in charge of the transition.

That's why Christie hates President Trump so much.

Let’s not become too presumptive. I’d prefer Kamala talk in terms of eventuality...like Hillary.

Funny how Husebø capitalizes “Former” when it’s in the middle of a sentence rather than at the start. Seems like some kind of zeal . . .

Kennedy could play a big role at HHS. Gabbard could play a big role at DoD. I may not want either of them advising on tax policy, but they have strengths that are useful in advancing small-government conservatism.

Uh, who told you they’ll be in charge of policy?

Btw, did you read Kennedy’s recent speech? If so, what is in it you don’t like?

Two voices of sanity will be helpful to Trump. I think this is a great idea.

They are all, to some degree, statists and progressives.

Even Trump believes in the power of Federal Government and DC to engineer and effect change on society - of course, if wielded by the right people.

There may be some on his team, but who are the strict Constitutional constructionists? Austrian-school economists? Libertarians? Christian Anarchists?

THAT would be a big tent. RFK and Gabbard? Not so much.

So everybody here is cool now with liberal Democrats picking and choosing Trump's cabinet members if he wins in November?

It truly is an upside-down world now.

You actually believe that was RFK Jr's. understanding when he cut his deal with Trump?

Don’t know enough about Tulsi yet, but based on everything I’ve heard from RFKJ, it would be a travesty to NOT put him in charge of policy related to health, food, pharma, and the environment. If that means in a new role i.e. “czar” rather than as a Cabinet secretary, fine by me. We need his wisdom and action not him sitting behind a desk trying to run a bureaucracy full of poeple who hate Trump and won’t change if they can help it.
