In October, author Tim Sheridan urged people to pick up a copy of his latest work, a Green Lantern re-boot in which the DC superhero has sex with his boyfriend. Despite his pleas, the comic appears to have struggled to gain favor among readers.
On Amazon, the e-book version of the first issue of Alan Scott, Green Lantern currently sits at #277 in superhero comics & graphic novels, and 39,736 among all titles in the Kindle store.
"The only way we can shut these people down is to make this book an undeniable success," Sheridan told his fans in a video announcing the new comic, suggesting "haters and the queerphobes are out in force."
"The only way to prove to the big publishers that there's a huge market for authentic stories about LGBTQIA+ characters and these stories are for everyone is to buy the heck out of books like this," he added, pointing out that he would be donating profits to the Elton John Aids Foundation.

Whining by the author aside, the only story is it isn't selling.
No right wing protests or anything like that. Wouldn't he love that martyrdom publicity? But the right wingers have already written off the comic book industry and certainly children don't buy them any more.
he would be donating profits to the Elton John Aids Foundation..................
He fails to see the irony......................
Virtue signaling is more important than making money.
These people will NEVER understand that the country at large is much different than the sicko world outside their window in the city...
Shocked, shocked I tell you.
There has always been flirting, girl friends, and romance in comics since the 30s.
However in this case they have taken someone who had a wife and kids and rewritten him as a homosexual adding explicit sex as well. Which the fans rejected.
The funny thing for me is that this character’s weakness to his ring was ...get this... “wood”. The jokes write themselves.
That and “Deadpool”. Who needs it?
Nobody with half a brain needs it.
Buggery, straight or with a robot no one wants to see that.
Ok maybe a very small group of perverts would. But statistically, no one cares.
10 years ago I spent hundreds of dollars a month on Comics, mostly DC Comics. Then they became super-gay, politically correct, and too expensive. They got rid of the decent writers. Mainstream comics are dead to me now and I relish reading about their downfall.
There is nothing erotic OR exotic about two men, on buggering the other with a bunch of painful uncomfortable groaning. What possesses these people to think any of that is natural. What possesses them to think other people want to read/see animated caricatures of it?
The real funny thing is libs think comic books sill influence the culture.
Tim Sheridan brings shame upon Alan Scott/Green Lantern creator Mart Nodell and the entire Golden of comics. Outside of interior decorating and beauty salons; queers ruin everything they touch.
What I’m thinking.
It just confirms what we know about men dressing up in costumes and tights who think they’re superheroes out to change the world!
Why is anyone having sex with anyone in a comic book?
Boy, things have changed since I was a kid.
Satan.
