Turkey Latest Pulling Ambassador From Israel — Joining These 6 Other Countries
Forbes ^ | 11/4/23 | Brian Bushard

Turkey on Saturday became the latest country to pull its ambassador from Israel since the beginning of Israel’s war with Gaza-based militant group Hamas, citing Israel’s refusal to heed calls for a humanitarian pause in the conflict. Turkey recalled ambassador Sakir Ozkan Torunlar, according to a statement from Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday morning, calling out Israel for an “unfolding humanitarian tragedy in Gaza” after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “no longer someone we can talk to,” though Erdogan acknowledged: “complete disconnection is not possible, especially in international diplomacy.”

Turkey... Joining These 6 Other Countries

Supporting unannounced rocket attack against civilians. How quaint. My visit to the Mediterranean can skip these and other countries gladly.

The new Palestinian state will be developed and nurtured to fruition by the Arab signers of the Abram Accords/Negev Summit signers

Hamas will all be dead and Abbas et al will be gone

Forgone and predestined conclusion

“What exactly does a two state solution entail? How much autonomy would a Palestinian state have? The devil is in the details. IMO both parties have moved beyond a two state solution. It is old-think.”

Here is what a two state solution entails.

1. Egypt agrees to give part of Sinai to create a Palestinian state. The new Palestine will have defined borders.

2. The new Palestinian state will be the beta test for modeling green energy throughout the world. This means all infrastructure and vehicles will be built with alternative energy in mind. As it is sunny in Sinai with the red sea, water and power wouldn’t be a problem.

3. An international consortium will do the architectural design and construction.

4. As a show of global brotherhood, the UN will move to the new capital of the new Palestine. All embassies will move to the New Palestine.

5. Once everything is set up and the UN has its first session in the new state of Palestine, nuke the place from orbit..... just to be sure.

If Turkey enters this thing Israel Turkey is screwed

(same thing applies to Iran too ... that's why they're both talking a big game, but carefully staying on the sidelines)

At this point neither Russia nor China have withdrawn their ambassadors although the Latin American countries that have done so are leftist run and in relations with the Moscow-Beijing axis. I don't think Turkey and Iran will move against Israel without assurances from Xi and Putin. The U.S. Navy has a lot of power nearby and will back up Israel in a regional war. Unless Putin is deceiving the world in his go slow approach to Ukraine and China's leadership is willing to risk internal economic chaos to defeat the Western nations, it does not appear that either power is in a position to turn a local conflict into a world war.

The current policy espoused by the Biden Administration is the two state solution. All of this goes back to the 1993 and 1995 Oslo Accords.

"Among the notable outcomes of the Oslo Accords was the creation of the Palestinian National Authority, which was tasked with the responsibility of conducting limited Palestinian self-governance over parts of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip; and the international acknowledgement of the PLO as Israel's partner in permanent-status negotiations about any remaining issues revolving around the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. Bilateral dialogue stems from questions related to the international border between Israel and a future Palestinian state: negotiations for this subject are centered around Israeli settlements, the status of Jerusalem, Israel's maintenance of control over security following the establishment of Palestinian autonomy, and the Palestinian right of return. The Oslo Accords did not create a definite Palestinian state."

how many rockets were fired in the 8 years leading up to October 7?

I'll bite...how many?

Its not like Israel didn't retaliate each time either.

Maybe a better measure is how many civilian casualties there were on each side.

So then why didn’t you call for hamas to stop shooting rockets?

Maybe a better measure

Says who? You?

How about we look at who attacked whom first?

... and every time, the answer is the same - Palis fired first

You’re naive. Your brand of capitulation was tried for many years and proven to not work on 10/7.

The only thing that has a chance of working is to completely destroy Hamas and Hezbollah as much as possible. Decent Palestinians should help.

The reason that Germany, Italy, and Japan became decent countries after WWII is that the Nazis, the Fascists, and the war lords were almost completely wiped out so that decent people could rebuild those countries.

Your suggestion just kicks the can down the familiar failed road once again.

“Israel can not survive surrounded by Billion Muslims.
Only chance it has is to negotiate 2 state solution and make peace. The days of acting tough are long gone.”

Israel has survived for 76 years while surrounded by billions of Muslims and will continue to survive.

It takes two to make peace but one side will only make peace after Israel is destroyed and all Jews in the area are killed. That is not a sensible condition to start peace talks.

Israel has been through very tough times to survive since their beginning and will continue by being (not acting) very tough.
