Happy 4th, Kathy! I truly appreciate this country!
I just took a peek and can see a fuzzy outline right now. It’s very cloudy tonight though the rain is well south of us now.
I’m thrilled they decided to head back. One guy is deaf but refuses to wear his hearing aid most of the time. His wife and the other guy are used to yelling all the time so he can hear them and the constant yelling wears on me. It terrifies the cats and they all hide the whole time they’re here. It’s nice to have peace and quiet once again.
There were some folks around here shooting fireworks last night and Saturday night so I went across the road to watch both nights. There will be more tomorrow night, plus I can see Winchester’s fireworks as well. Distant, but I can see them. It will be a fun night.
Today happens to be my birthday.
A Birthday that I have loved and cherished all my life.
A Birthday that I was so proud to share with my beloved country.
A Birthday that I gladly share with the most beautiful and FREE, and TRANSPARENT government in the world.
UP UNTIL NOW. The Left is making this hard to remember all the preceding years ...when it was an HONOR TO BE BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY.
But I am lucky. I am an optimist. I know very soon all the bad demons of hate will go away.
And we can, just as the Brits survived, see the White Cliffs of Dover arise to regain our wonderful Country and Constitution.
Sorry, if I am talking about myself and the way I feel on my Birthday.
And I still say it doesn’t look a day over 400. (right now)
Oh, how annoying for you and the cats. Sounds like you might be shed of them for good....maybe...with any luck. Did they come to his memorial service?
Just enjoy the fireworks. I would enjoy seeing some pretty ones, but the loud ones just make the cats nervous and there’s nothing to get excited about. LOL! At least for me. We stopped buying them when our son left home.
These are our fireworks the night of the 4th...
"Head to the Mulcahy Stadium for the annual Glacier Pilots-Bucs Alaska Baseball League doubleheader,
with the games starting at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Fireworks start at the conclusion of the second game."
Happy 4th of July!
Keeping in mind that sunset is 11:36pm
Gonna be a long night for those up there that want to watch them up there, huh. LOL!
I’m sure there will be or already has been a city fireworks display, but we don’t go. Too darn hot and icky [though not as hot as it had been] to stand outside waiting for them in the heat and the bugs. :) I’d rather be right here with y’all!
Now?
Now?
VERY annoying. In the past, they would spend time at the garage with Hubby or go off with him to do whatever. I basically ignored them. But since he’s not here anymore, I couldn’t do that. I was cordial but there was a sigh of relief once they were out of the house. It’ll take the cats a couple of days to figure out they aren’t coming back and they’ll unwind. They’re still on edge right now.
No, they didn’t come up for the memorial.
Lots of big, pretty fireworks to enjoy around here. People spend a lot of money on fireworks each year and I sure enjoy the shows. And putting on my own little show on the 4th. LOL As long as I’m able to get clear once I light them, I’ll keep buying them. No one’s paying me to grow up. :-)
WOOHOO!!! They are gone. So sad. But glad you got to see the Tullahoma fireworks tonight.
It has been sprinkling on and off since last night and now there is almost 2/10 of an inch of water in my gauge!!
And then there was the wake up call this morning at 6:37am...I heard the CBI stained glass rattling on the window and then a little shaking and then BOOM!!! A short, sharp, 4.6 earthquake. HELLO!!
Growing up is highly overrated. It just got to where it was just too hot to be comfortable being outside for any length of time to watch them. We’d have to go downtown with a crowd of people...most of whom don’t even speak English....and it’s just not worth it. Sometimes I watch on-line and I might tomorrow if I’m in the mood.
Guess you’re well rid of those folks. Poor kitties. They just KNOW when you are not happy. :)
Going to any events on the 4th?

Yesterday at the lake:
Going to town to watch them is ok but when it’s time to leave, the nightmare begins. Traffic.
I did go to Tullahoma tonight because I thought of a different place to park that would give me easy access out. That place didn’t work out but where I did park was awesome. I was outta there before the other people had even gotten into their cars. LOL And the view was good.
Hubby and I went to the Winchester show 3 times and had enough. It took forever to get home. I’ve been watching from the hill for around 15 years now. They’re 5 miles away but that’s ok. There are fireworks going off everywhere I look - some near, some far off - so there’s plenty of entertainment. And no crowds. Hubby’s cousin and his girlfriend joined me Saturday night and that was fun. I was solo last night.
I’ll check out Anchorage’s fireworks online later and that will end the entertainment for this year.
Yes, the kitties do know when I’m unhappy but those folks make them plenty unhappy on their own. They don’t like all the yelling.
