Former President Donald Trump blasted Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) ahead of his presidential campaign launch on Wednesday, asserting he would be doomed to fail in the general election after voting to overhaul entitlement programs when he was a congressman.
Trump, the leading Republican presidential candidate, took to Truth Social to hit DeSantis’s support of legislation that took aim at Social Security and Medicare during his time in Congress :

He destroyed them one at a time.
DeSantis does NOT HAVE the fire in the belly or the FIGHT that Trump has, it is very easy to govern a one party rule Republican STATE!! Trump is also VERY RESPONSIBLE for making FL. a one party Republican state the Hispanic community there LOVE Trump AND came out in droves for him and HIS party!! DeSantis rode the coattails of Trump and NOW abandons his constituents 6 months after getting elected to go up against Trump NO THANKS!!
Speaking of entitlements....What about the extra $600/week unemployment that mostly fraud. I guess that doesn’t count....
Trump = Cloward Piven big government bankrupt America plan in action
He never vetoed a single omnibus spending bill and never will if elected again
DeSantis is intent on crippling Trump so that Trump can’t win the general. I predict Trump beats whomever the Dems run, it won’t be Biden, and that DeSantis’s political career ends after he is term limited out of FL governor. He will go on to a high paid lobbying job in the Deep state.
Seriously? I’ll bet you believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, too.
But if they just print it, they will devalue it so much is like a big cut anyway in real purchasing power.
So my question is still, will seniors be glad that politicians “never touched it”, to offer potential fixes earlier, when they suddenly can’t make ends meet?
I’ll admit it, “As a grassroot, middle-class Republican, I am a Trumper. If former President Trump doesn’t win the GOP nomination, I will vote for the party’s nominee nonetheless, but I can’t say that about all of Trump’s power base.
I would rather go for wins rather than losses. Support Trump for his rightful second term and DeSantis for 2028 and 2032.
Too bad no one ever reads what DeSantis supported. But then again only-Trumpers may not like a more market based approach that doesn’t harm seniors during the transition.
I just wonder when Trump will slander DeSantis’ father accusing him of helping assassinate JFK?
When I see Jeb ‘Low Energy’ Bush and Paul Ryan behind a candidate smiling...I’ll vote for another on the ballot, Thank You!
Personally, I believe this is a Biblical principality war that will be decided soon. Will we look to God and humble ourselves (II Chronicles 7:14)...or will we just go our easy way down the road to hell with Satan? USA as founders sought or Sodom like much of the rest of the world?
I’ve already decided! I’m ready to vote!! /s
And Trump will always be the story, not the dems radical policies and senile POTUS.
“ Your fact checks are just like the left......coming from a biased source.
You are no different than CNN.”
Fact check: True
What a loving Christian you are...I know, I know you can’t believe in heaven without Satan. Don’t chime on theology with your biblically illiterate Evangelical mutters, you sound like a moron. Leave your Billy Bob Church of Hypocrisy and really get to know God, learn Greek and Hebrew, study hermeneutics and ancient Near East history and culture and use the 10-second rule before something dumb and hateful vomits out of your blowhole.
Your post was far more hateful than her post. Maybe remove the plank from your own eye before you comment on the splinter in hers.
No, Donald DeSantis can’t win the general because the people bankrolling him will be exposed as anti=American NeverTrumpers that will want their “guy” to govern in a certain way.
Right on!
Most people I talk to like DeSantis just not for 2024. The big field hurts Ron.
“Say what you want about the guy, but that kind of internet flaming will make me crawl over volcanic ash to support Trump. LOL.”
And that’s fine....that’s your choice....
but....what “if” Trump is somehow disqualified or kept from running (the left’s wet dream currently and ongoing)? Do you have a backup plan in case that happens? Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water (I know, I hate canned cliches too)....by trashing other candidates like DeSantis. All pessimism aside, we may end up needing a conservative like DeSantis. You really can’t argue against what he has done as governor of Florida thus far, standing against the woke radical left. At least, I don’t see how you could.
By then it just won’t matter as the world will enter a new Dark Age and Dystopia will be upon us.
The very edifice of civilization will crumble with the dollar.
That is the real issue all the charges are bogus, the campaign will come down to Trump’s issues not the Biden disaster and criminal conduct.
