The polarizing marketing partnership between beer giant Bud Light and trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney was launched without approval from senior executives of parent company Anheuser-Busch (AB), according to a new report.
The partnership unveiled on April 1 drew intense backlash from some quarters, with musician Kid Rock posting a video of himself shooting at cases of Bud Light, and country singers John Rich and Travis Tritt dropping ties with the brand.
On the other side of the debate, podcaster Joe Rogan and shock jock Howard Stern have both slammed the furious backlash as overblown, with Rogan saying: 'I think it’s goofy.'
But behind the scenes at AB, 'no one at a senior level' was aware of the partnership that has now dominated headlines for weeks, and the decision to include Mulvaney in the campaign was taken by a 'low-level marketing staffer,' two sources close to the situation told The Daily Wire.
That claim comes despite the attention on Bud Light's VP of marketing, Alissa Heinerscheid, for her remarks in an interview days before the Mulvaney partnership, saying she wanted to trade the brand's 'fratty' reputation for 'inclusivity'.
But according to an insider cited by the Daily Wire, the partnership was undertaken by 'some low-level marketing staffer who helps manage the hundreds of influencer engagements they do.
'It was a mistake,' the person added. DailyMail.com has contacted AB for comment.

This VP wanted to rework the “Fratty” image of the Bud Light brand, so she sinks the entire catalog with this ridiculous stunt. This is extending to all AB/InBev beers. I suspect they agreed to let her take this risk because, face it, BL is swill. They had no idea it would poison all beers in their product line and now they don’t know what the hell to do. Typical Euro-Trash board will tell the backwards American base to stuff it.
I will offer my services to Budweiser at half the price of that idiot VP that created this transgendered advertising campaign. I will go to “good old boy” bars and ask them about drinking transgendered beer. It will be a brief survey.
My recommendations would be brief. “Stop this insanity of advertising transexual advertisements.” The elite on Fifth avenue drink Chardonay and fine Cognac. They agree with you. They do not drink Budweiser light nor any other of your beers that are crap. They are not your customer base.

In all seriousness despite my above post of sarcasm, how can a major corporation make such an idiot decision in advertising. I do not understand why they did this.

Local Breweries will prosper from ABs transgression.
And people like Jessy Kelly think the ONE BILLION DAY A DAY BOYCOTT won’t make a difference.
The only voice corporate America hears is the voice of money. Money talks. When $6 Billion walks they will hear it.
Stories about how a few brain dead slugs in a Wyoming bar still drink Bud Light are feeble attempts to put lip stick on this pig.
Beer drinks like everybody else have less money to spend thanks to the Democrat/communists so they will buy other beers - cheaper beers we called Panther Piss in the 70s when Carter made our lives miserable. Once they get used to the cheaper P P. a good portion of beer drinkers won’t go back.
