How Bud Light's Dylan Mulvaney debacle has left Anheuser-Busch paralyzed: Company 'never expected' backlash and is now TRAPPED as it refuses to disavow partnership

Bud Light parent company Anheuser-Busch appears to be trapped between a rock and a hard place as it grapples with polarization over its paid partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Since the controversy emerged on April 1, Bud Light and Anheuser-Busch's main social media accounts have fallen silent, despite major sporting events of the kind the brand typically chimes in on.

Aside from an initial terse statement, Anheuser-Busch has also ignored media requests on the issue. Last week, a Missouri distributor canceled an event featuring the famed Budweiser Clydesdales, citing safety concerns.

'They never expected the reaction that they got,' said Gareth Boyd, a marketing and PR expert with Forte Analytica, speaking to DailyMail.com on Thursday as an industry observer. 'Right now, if they respond and they don't get it right, they're only going to further hurt themselves.'

'I think they're probably trying to avoid talking about it, hoping and praying that it will go away, but it's probably the worst thing you could possibly do,' he added...

Behind the scenes Anheuser-Busch, there have been hints of internal turmoil and finger-pointing over fallout from the controversy.

According to sources cited by the Daily Wire, 'no one at a senior level' was aware of the Mulvaney brand partnership before it launched, and the campaign was undertaken by a 'low-level marketing staffer.'

Executives have 'paused' new marketing campaigns so they can implement a more robust vetting process for future projects, according to the report...

The size of the Mulvaney contract was large. Low-level marketing staffers don’t make these decisions without review.

Be interesting to see how much that 39-year-old was making. I bet too much.

There really isn’t a problem for AB that time won’t fix. Over half the country (right and middle) don’t have the patience to punish them long enough.

This hombre won't be buying any AB products. Gone forever, even if they course correct. If they did what they did, that's who they are, and I won't support them, period.

The thing here is that this is something people can actually DO something about. Most of this woke trans queer stuff is something people have to put up with because they cannot do anything about it. But not in this case, the law of large numbers apply here plus what I call “reverse cancellation” where classic Americans can cancel something that represents this trans garbage stuffed in their faces. In this case it’s AB and something that has a very defined target audience (Bud Light drinkers). This isn’t Nike selling to a large cross-section of the population but AB selling to a group of consumers who walk up to coolers full of other beer and makes a purchase over and over.

There has not been anything else like this before IMO except maybe you could compare it to voting for Trump but in this case AB can’t fake their sales because these votes are paid for with cash.

I’m so amused by this, the absolute stupidity of AB is stunning and they knew what they were doing even though simple math says you won’t sell more bad beer to woke people who wear clothes of the other sex. Even if AB captured the entire LBGTBLAHBLAHBLAH community the number of them is tiny. AB has invented their own method of seppuku by hiring yet another marginally intelligent Harvard graduate who thinks their $hit does not stink.

You can’t change the weather, you can’t change your sex and you can’t make good old boys embrace cross-dressing homosexuals.

And yet their stock is doing just fine. $20 higher than their 52 week low, and $3 under their 52 week high. The real test will be the earnings call on the 20th.

A B must be put down like the infected dog it has become. Only in this way can the global Homo agenda be stopped. They have crossed the line. They have crossed the line and need to be stopped cold. Boycott all AB Beers—Let them have the Gay-Trans Market and see how long they last as a company?

Plenty of great beers out there.

Brew your own. That's what I do!

If everyday Americans learn from this then the woke movement can be broken. Turn cancel culture around. Cancel the woke corporations. Boycott them. Sell off their stock. Search for replacement goods and services. Make them all feel the pain Anheuser is feeling now.

"Plenty of great beers out there."

And Bud's not one of them.

BTW: Years ago on a boat tour of the Chicago River, the tour guide told about how in 1900 the river was connected by canals to send the river (and associated sewage) into the Mississippi River, instead of emptying into Lake Michigan, the source of Chicago's drinking water. A tourist from the city of St. Louis, located downstream on the Mississippi, responded that they returned the favor by shipping Budweiser beer to Chicago.

Other companies have said about as much, when Woke hits their fan.

I recall a little while back finding out State Farm donated to a bunch of charities that encouraged LBGT+ education, and even possible conversion assistance without parental involvement, seemingly based on state, then disavowed knowing they’d been aware at the same levels.

It was on Twitter and a page to State Farm’s website had the organizations.

If you drink Bud Light, you’re not really a beer drinker in the first place.

‘Right now, if they respond and they don’t get it right, they’re only going to further hurt themselves.’

There is no “getting it right” for them. They boxed themselves into a corner of their own stupidity.

If they come out and state what the majority of their consumer base knows, and what is the absolute factual truth... that this freak isn’t a woman, never will be a woman and is a man who pantomimes being every effeminate stereotype you can come up with and is frankly offensive in nearly every regard... Then the Lavender Mafia and their sycophant allies in the media will unleash on them like the devil spawn they are.

If they defend their position that this man is in fact a woman and they are proud to be associated with this nitwit, then they lose even more of their customer base.

There is no way to get this right, because the RIGHT answer conflicts with the preferred narrative... so they can’t go against it even though its wrong, or be throttled, and they can’t stay with it without being throttled.

So they will keep their mouths shut, and hope it blows over... and hopefully their customer base, will actually stick to there “enough is enough” stand and AB-Inbev brands will all plummet.

We will see.. right now they are betting on short term memory and hoping the next thing will come along to distract and folks will just return to what they were doing before all this started.

Honestly I’ll take a Bud Light, Miller Light, or whatever mass produced American Pilsner drinker anyday over the folks who drink over-hopped, over-brewed, nasty IPA’s and try to convince themselves they are good beers any day of the week.

No, your IPA isn’t good beer, its bitter, over hopped, over brewed crap... it always has been and it always will be.
