CNN's Cupp: GOP Leaders Should Have Told Trump—Herschel Is 'CRAP'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 12/08/2022 2:20:20 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

S.E. Cupp, a "CNN Republican," apparently thinks it's cool to use a vulgar term to describe Herschel Walker.

On today's CNN This Morning, in a post-mortem panel on Walker's campaign, Cupp said that Republicans might have had a better result in Georgia:

"If you had a strong Republican leadership willing to say to Donald Trump, this candidate is crap and we're not going to win with this candidate."

Fifty-one Democrat senators are crap, but the media ignores the fact, and Dem voters who congregate at the far left of the Bell Curve are too ignorant to know it.

Thinking about Senator Fetterman is a waste of time. Anybody could have won that Senate seat for the Democrats, Conor Lamb would have made it a rout.

Think about “Dr. Oz” and you might gain some understanding.

Warnock won. That’s all that matters. Walker was a terrible candidate.

Herschel Walker lost because Black voters overwhelmingly rejected him.

Georgia is 51% non-Hispanic white and 33% Black.

If Herschel Walker had received even 20% of the Black vote, he would have won.

Has anyone seen an exit poll with an ethnic break down of voters in this election?

No one on the GOP side has the courage to even mention the racial voter issue in Georgia.

It might be politically helpful to the GOP to point out that at least 70% of white Georgia voters supported Herschel Walker.

I doubt Trump would have listened. Walker was a former contestant on the Apprentice and that made him qualified.

Cupps and Steele are the problem with the uniparty. We are like the CCP, a one party system.

The GOP did NOTHING to help. They left Georgia conservatives hanging.

Of course. And yet they expect us to vote for their candidates now. Not going to happen.

Cupp, you can stop beating on Herschel now. He lost. Democrats probably beat Herschel’s ancestors.

The RINO plan for "winning" in 2022 was to withhold money from MAGA candidates and once again turn a blind eye to Democrat cheating, and then tell us that MAGA lost because they were bad candidates.

The only way we are going to take back this country is to reshape the state legislatures by ousting RINOs in the primaries and replacing them with MAGA. The Constitution gives sole power to the legislatures to determine and enforce election law. We made significant gains in that area in 2022, but the Lamestream media won't tell you that.

Unfortunately, it's going to take more than one election cycle to rid the GOP of the RINO infection, but it is going to be interesting to see what the new state legislatures are going to pass with regard to election law in 2023. Will there be enough newly elected MAGA members to take on cheat-by-mail-in ballots and Dominion? We will see.

I really hate agreeing with her but Walker was just dismal. He is totally unqualified to be a US senator. Listening to him talk is just cringe worthy. I wrote in Doug Collins who should have been running.

It isn’t a matter of Herschel being ‘CRAP’ it’s the voters that are.

They decided to vote for a guy that hats America more than Obama does.

The medias type of guy

Nice post of reality. I am a Bulldawg fan and Hersh running like there is no tomorrow was great to watch. I heard him on an interview days before the runoff. He has a successful business which was a boost. He trashed Warnock as a church leader. I am not sure about this tactic as a candidate… local talk shows… maybe. A good interview, but not great. I am sure he was exhausted from all that was going on.

Given how close the vote was, it is Cupp’s statement that is crap.

Hershcel is authentically black and had the full-throated endorsement of a much-beloved Georgia legend, Vince Dooley, who was on his death bed.

That all by itself is overwhelming circumstantial evidence proving the election was rigged.

Yes. In fairness, Warnock was not your typical incumbent. He won the special election in 2020. So he did not have the organization and legislative history typical for senators competing following complete terms in office. For those other senators, a re-election win is usually by a high single digit or even a
double digit percentage.

So what exactly were the results? Warnock 51.5%, Walker 48.5%. Warnock got @99K more votes out of about 3.6M cast. Not close but not a typicsl blowout either.

Here are the details:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/election-results/2022/georgia-senate-runoff/

Walker very handily won the Georgia Republican primary. Name the Republican he beat in the primary that could have won or done better in losing.

Funny thing is that I knew he would lose the runoff election the moment it was announced. The Democrats would be far more motivated than the Republicans to win the seat. This goes beyond just wanting to increase their majority. Even with an increase to 50 Senate seats, there was no situational change for the Republicans. They would still be the minority party. For Democrats, the 51st seat would free them to pass legislation by simple majority (without assistance from the 4 RINOS) and free them from relying on the VP for tie breaking votes. And keeping “laughing woman” out of public view is a good thing.

So, the Democrats were going to pour it on and the Republican establishment held back. And the Lieutenant Governor’s statement …

Besides, Walker was Trump’s guy.

Georgia is not a blue state. Evil people, both democrat and republican, threw everything awful they had at Herschel Walker and he still barely lost in a runoff that had phenomenal turnout.

The current Georgia Lt. Governor plus the current Georgia Secretary of Agriculture (a man whose 13.3% in the Republican primary was a far second place to Walker’s 68%.2) appeared in a TV ad against Walker and it was aired over and over.

These Georgia Republican so-called leaders negated the voice of Republican voters in Georgia with their own vindictiveness, sour grapes, and entitled attitudes.

This has to end. “Leaders” are not the ones to pick, the voters are. I voted for Walker in the primary, in the general, and in the runoff. I donated to his campaign. All my meager efforts didn’t stand a chance against a constantly aired commercial featuring GA Republican statewide office holders urging the state to NOT vote for our 68.2% nominee.
This is what really pizzes me off.
