Meanwhile, Sens. Michael F. Bennet (D-Colo.) and Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) are negotiating on a narrower bill based on a House-passed measure that provided a pathway to citizenship for some undocumented farmworkers. The senators have not yet reached a deal but are hoping to get to one before the end of the lame-duck session this month, according to a person familiar with the negotiations who, like others in this report, spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe the situation candidly.

Republican Party is dead
*************
Its a fake party.
The DNC wants power.The RNC wants money.
The DNC uses money to get power.
The RNC uses power to get money.
(Republican Party is dead)
See you at the Bill Signing!
George W Bush
GOP, Inc. gonna save us! /s
Republicans are so predictable.
THEY WIN===THEY FOLD.
Thank God there are some good ones.
Suddenly they’re all farm workers. Too bad America is destroying all the family owned farms.
Funny how much work they do in the few weeks before next Congress is seated. They must be taking SuperBeets!
It’s a Mitch McConnell World out there.
Will they be working on the Chinese owned farms?
Next it will be amnesty for the fry cooks.
The gop committed suicide decades ago. Yet people still line up and vote for them. There is no going back. Take care of yourself, family and friends.
Yeah like who? I can count them on figers of my left hand.
American patriotism is dead. Citizens don't deserve a pass for what's destroying this country.
Very good question.
Crappo and Bennett should provide the money to finance these freeloaders as long as they remain in the U.S. The taxpayers shouldn’t have to pay for dumbass and cowardly “refugees” who won’t fight for their own home countries. Yellow bellies.
The first step is to GO BACK HOME and APPLY to immigrate LEGALLY! Once approved, you can enter, and then follow THE LAW on seeking citizenship!
The other way is to VOLUNTEER with the US military. After a term of service, you could qualify for US citizenship. (At least that is how it USED TO BE, IIRC.) Unfortunately, I didn'tfollow this path, so I am stuck in occupied Alberta, a citizen of PRC (Politically Repressive Canada), with limited rights, being a 'pureblood' and a Christian (though I admit that many of my actions don't differ much from non-Believers; purely MY problem, NOT God's).
Of course, there is another way, restricted to those with a lot of cash. 'Big Guy', Presidementia 'Quid Pro Joe' BiteMe is always on the lookout for more bribes 'campaign donations'. 😉
The Deplorables want a Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement bill, missing since 1986 ONE TIME amnesty. Since that amnesty was granted already, a second amnesty is off the table. What remains is the enforcement the Democrats have disallowed since then.
The List of Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement, missing since 1986 goes like this -
1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural parents);
5) end work visas;
6) 40-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population);
7) Set up an illegal aliens’ victim restitution fund from tax on remittances. Use tax on remittances to replenish Social Security account.
Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to SELF-deport, and remove colonizadors from our welfare rolls.
You tell me. I’m not going to search for an old biopic. Friends and family in Calif used braceros for years. They could cut and bud roses and ornamental plants wonderfully well. And they were paid well for their service. They were excellent in managing grapes. Today they have been replaced by illegals in Sonoma, Napa and Mendocino. I don’t think that’s a good trade-off.
