Twitter and Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced a big development Wednesday in the brain chip innovation by his company Neuralink.
The business mogul said the wireless device, which would be implanted in the brain of disabled patients with the intentions of helping them move and communicate again, is expected to begin human clinical trials in six months.
Neuralink has been conducting tests on animals over the past few years while waiting for U.S. regulatory approval to begin trials on people.
"We want to be extremely careful and certain that it will work well before putting a device into a human, but we've submitted I think most of our paperwork to the FDA and probably in about six months we should be able to upload Neuralink in a human," Musk said Wednesday night in a public update on the device.

Neuralink is supposed to cure paralysis by linking the brain to the rest of the spinal column.
My friend had MS and they subjected her to basically the same thing. It didn’t work though. This is maybe 15 years ago.
It’s admirable on it’s face, to help the disabled.
But, what happens when an Evil Genius (or any Socialist Democrat-backed TOADY) gets a hold of the technology?

______________
What a novel idea.
Someone should mention it to ModeRNA, Pfizer, the CDC, and the FDA.
Who knows. It could catch on.
this is not a new thing...
The Covid-19 jab was supposed to prevent “Covid”.
That worked out great didn’t it?
That’s the question everybody should be asking.
And in this environment, why should anybody trust others with this technology?

Oh you beat met! 3 minutes
The blue screen of death will take on an entirely new meaning.
I don’t think he’s the only one working on this concept and yes, eventually it’s bound to be used for bad. The Davos crowd thinks they’ll be able to live for hundreds of years with augmentation. Slippery slope for sure, this whole playing God thing.
No he doesn't. Brain implants are nothing new. Musk's version is just newer and more capable of doing useful things for the patient.
Someone else might want to put an implant in your brain, like the goobermint. But they've been able to do that for years, assuming they can catch you.
Anyone who does is a fool.
And people still don’t think this is the end times.
At the rate humanity is going, we are going to destroy ourselves and what it means to be human if God does NOT intervene.
