The Department of Justice is recommending that former Trump advisor and War Room host Steve Bannon be sentenced to six months in prison and a $200,000 fine for defying the January 6 Committee.
Bannon was convicted of contempt of Congress in July for refusing to comply with a subpoena from the committee.
(snip)
Anti-Trump neocon Liz Cheney and Democrat Rep. Bennie G. Thompson, chairs of the committee, had celebrated Bannon’s conviction in a joint statement after he was found guilty.

Maybe on orders from Kaiser Klaus, Bammy will tell whoever is playing “Joe” to “send the Congress Home” and just assume the role of Pew-Fuhrer…

The DOJ DORKS want him locked up until after the election. The RAT Party is scared to death right now.

LOL! That song always creeps me out because even though they were singing about drugs, the line “the smell of death surrounds you” is exactly what was surrounding that band being that half of them died in that plane crash which incredibly happened only 3 days after that song was released.
That had to be the most utterly retarded plane crash I have read about in my life. They RAN OUT OF FUEL!!! What kind of moron pilot does someone have to be to do that? “Oh darn, I knew I forgot something!”

Both pilots must have been incredibly lazy and had been previously-observed to share a bottle of some unknown
alcoholic drink while sitting in the cockpit.

Almost any judge will agree Bannon should have followed the law and appeared to testify when served with a lawful subpoena. The committee was formed in contravention of the house-established rules for forming it. Hence, any subpoena issued from the committee is not lawful.
The legitimacy of the committee is central to the lawfulness of the subpoena.

Did the DOJ recommend any prosecution and jail time for Eric Holder, the DEm former AG when he refused to appear after a subpoena. I think not.

Already arrested one candidate in Michigan, I recall. Something to do with January 6. Anyone who knows the details, feel free to provide them.

Steve, take refuge in Sherwood Forest. There’s a guy in green tights who’s a boss archer, and he’ll give you asylum.

We the people elected the Congressional representatives who conducted the January 6 inquiry. That's what they claim. I'm not sure the elections were legal.

Let the Appeals begin. The Committee had NO jurisdiction to
require Bannon’s appearance, because it was not a duly constituted Committee of Congress.

In a just world, you would think that would be the case.
But at the moment, that "committee" has men with guns willing to do their bidding. That's the reality.
Until those men with guns realize there may be (serious) repercussions for doing the "committee's" bidding, this type of abuse will continue.
