There has been a major explosion at an airbase in South Korea, the closest military base to the border with North Korea. Footage released on social media on Wednesday shows giant flames over the Gangneung Air Base, about 170km from Seoul. Early reports suggest it was caused by an accident.

I guess if Kim’s missile test got them rattled it’s plausible they were on alert and doing things they normally don’t do, but it just seems like stuffs gettin’ a little crazy lately.
Was meant for Japan. Didn’t make it that far. South Korea was as far as bomb went.

If I remember correctly, a number of years ago North Korea lobbed a few artillery rounds at a South Korean Island.
Maybe this was North Korean artillery practice and a round went off in the wrong direction.
These days, I don’t presume anything is an accident until proved beyond the shadow of a doubt.
And even then, don’t believe anything until the government officially denies it.
