All four regions have said their word; they voted overwhelmingly in favor of joining Russia.

You believe that with all the environmental nuts in govt that any US agency would have been permitted to blow the pipeline to hell and flood the Baltic with oil.
They don’t give a shit about the environment, it’s just a means to an end, Power.
That's exactly how CNN reported it!
BTW, how you perceive things doesn't matter, it's how Russia sees the result that's important.
Has anyone been bombing and shelling the Fins in that region daily for 8 years?
the plebiscites met the requirements of Russian Law.
And that’s all the Russian state cares about.
No, it is how the real people of the Donbas and the Ukraine see things. I send equipment for two Ukrainian Donbas soldiers that we know personally. They are brave and patriotic. They are great guys.
The speaker of the Russian Duma wants to reverse the “illegal” transfer of Alaska to the United States. Maybe they can hold a referendum in absentia and just declare it part of Russia too. It would be about equally legitimate as declaring that Donbas is now Russia.
Those same “valiant Ukrainian warriors” who barraged the ethnic Russians living in the Donbas with bombs and other artillery 24/7 for 8 years? 🤣
What are you talking about?
Biden has sent Ukraine nearly $100bn US tax dollars and god knows how much in equipment.
Save your canteens for camping weekends with the grandkids.
Probably more reliable voting coz Russia does not use Dominion machines.
Wait, they have to provide their own equipment in Ukraine? What happened to the billions we’ve sent them this year?
All of this going on in Ukraine is none of our business in the USA.
It’s a poor, corrupt country in Eastern Europe with no strategic value to America.
My wife is one of those Russian speakers from the Donbas. Most Russian speakers are not ethnic Russians. And you are full of it with your Moscow talking points. For every crime committed by Ukrainians in the Donbas there must be two dozen more serious ones committed by Russia over and above the criminal invasions.

I sense a great disturbance in the New World Order.
Things are shaking at our feet.
They do not have to provide their own equipment. But just like in our army there is always the pursuit of a better pair of boots, GPSs, etc.
Oh for crying out loud.....are there any elections not corrupted? Sheesh!
Yep....8 yrs of their people being attacked by Ukraine.....and all attempts at negotiating fell thru - now Russia will secure those areas and stop the fighting once they’re annexed.
Ukraine should have stayed with the Minsk agreements - as they agred to. Those areas would have remained Ukraine.
The Russian have the world’s most sophisticated election system: they have the vote totals counted a week before the election.
> Has anyone been bombing and shelling the Finns in that region daily for 8 years? <
No. But they’ve had to endure Soviet and then Russian rule for 70+ years.
This is not a knock against Russia particularly. Instead, it’s a knock against the gross hypocrisy of plebiscites in general. Nations run plebiscites when it suits them, and shun them when they don’t.
The United States is no better in this regard. We are all for self-determination. We preach it constantly. But try it here, and General Sherman comes knocking at your door.
