PA Poll: Republicans Dr. Mehmet Oz, Doug Mastriano 2 Points Back of Democrat Opponents
Breitbart ^ | 16 Sep 2022 | NICK GILBERTSON

Republicans Dr. Mehmet Oz and State Sen. Doug Mastriano are quickly gaining on their Democrat opponents in Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate and gubernatorial races, according to a poll.

The Trafalgar Group poll, released Friday, shows Fetterman’s lead over Oz has dwindled to under two points, indicating the Republican is picking up momentum in the race. Of the likely voter respondents, 45.9 percent say they are supporting Oz, while 47.7 percent back Fetterman, the state’s lieutenant governor. Another 3.5 percent say they plan to vote for Libertarian Erik Gerhardt, and 2.4 percent remain undecided.

Oz has made gains since last month’s Trafalgar Group poll on the Pennsylvania Senate race, which showed him within five points of Fetterman, at 43.5 percent and 48.4 percent, respectively.

Fetterman’s fall in the polls coincided with recent reports that brought to light his past comments that the state could empty a third of prisoners out onto the streets and “not make anyone less safe.” It has also been accompanied by reports on his role as chair of the board of pardons, which was apparently radicalized under his leadership. Additionally, Fetterman suffered a stroke in May and has faced mounting pressure from national and local media to debate Oz. He recently gave in and agreed to a debate that will take place on October 25, long after voting begins.

The poll shows that Mastriano is also rapidly gaining on Democrat Attorney General Josh Shapiro in the governor’s race and is within the margin of error. The state senator is backed by 45.4 percent of likely voters, placing him exactly two points behind Shapiro at 47.4 percent. Only 2.8 percent of those polled plan to vote for Libertarian candidate Matt Hackenburg while another 2.8 remain undecided, and 1.5 percent support another candidate.

If true, insanity. Or union support.

Trafalgar is mostly associated with CBS poll.

It’s good news. They are gaining rapidly.

“Another 3.5 percent say they plan to vote for Libertarian Erik Gerhardt”

In other words — Never Trumpers giving the election to Alice the Goon’s ugly brother

Another article posted today says:

He “has had no television ads on the air since May, has chosen not to interact with the state’s news media in ways that would push his agenda, and trails by double digits in reputable public polling and most private surveys.

There’s no sign of cavalry coming to his aid, either: The Republican Governors Association, which is helping the party’s nominees in Arizona, Michigan and six other states, has no current plans to assist Mr. Mastriano, according to people with knowledge of its deliberations.

The Pennsylvania governor’s race is perhaps the most consequential in the country. Mr. Mastriano, a retired Army colonel who chartered buses to the Jan. 6, 2021, rally that led to the attack on the Capitol, has vowed to ban abortion without exceptions and pledged to enact sweeping new voting restrictions. He would be likely to accomplish those measures given the Republican advantage in the state legislature.”

I guess he is counting on his Trump endorsement,

I’m not a Pennsylvanian, and I have essentially no idea to what extent the Fetterman that I learn about on this site and on Fox News is known to the average PA voter, but man, oh, man... Fetterman is by far the creepiest, unhealthiest-looking, weirdest kook to ever stand as a major-party nominee for a major political office I’ve ever seen. If any Dem candidate in the country is beatable, it’s him.

I watched a speech by Fetterman from 3 weeks ago, in the past week. It’s a fairly brief 2-to-3 minute ‘talk’, and there’s at least six or seven mistakes in that time period. It wasn’t as bad as Biden, but it’s obvious that he’s got health issues. If he were to win, I doubt that he stays there more than a year.

You’re thinking of YouGov. Trafalgar is not connected to CBS.

Trafalgar leans correct; they were the most accurate pollster the past several elections.

I know Trafalgar is very good but anyone that says Shrek is winning is just wrong.
Shrek will pull down the whole rodent ticket including Josh Soros.

Which news do you pay attention to, because Trafalgar has nothing to do with CBS. They are one of the best pollsters out there and very accurate. These numbers are probably spot on and good news for Oz and Mastriano. Still 5 weeks to go. PA is a tough state for Republicans. Two large Democratic cities and still a lot of legacy white Union voters, but it is slowly changing.

Fetterman is a carefully crafted mirage. He’s counting on people seeing the mirage. He’s a working man! He’s one of us! I can dress up like an astronaut, but that doesn’t necessarily make it so. Fetterman is no more a working man than Barack Obama can play 3rd base for the Phillies.

Oz has been pretty effective at pulling back the curtain on this over-educated Communist child. What makes it better is Fetterman has been unable to fight back effectively because of the stroke. It’s ludicrous to think we’re going to elect someone in his condition to the U.S. Senate. As long as the GOP base is behind Oz, he should win. I’m hoping that will happen; that all the disaffected Barnette voters will come home.

As for Mastriano, the conservative, he’s been a disappointment as far as his campaign goes. He’s been run over on the airwaves. He’s made the decision to give the media the finger, so you hardly ever see his name anywhere, and when you do, it’s always negative. It’s a gamble, and maybe he’s right; maybe people hate the media so much they’ll see through the media lies and vote for him anyway.

Trafalgar has said it’s getting near impossible to poll accurately due to the inability to pin down the MAGA vote. We don’t answer the phone, and if we do, we’re just as likely to tell the pollster bullsh8t as opposed to the truth. Why would we tell them the truth? We might be talking to the FBI, and we’ve already been basically declared a terrorist group by the President. These polls showing Mastriano down double digits are wrong. He’s down a few points, but I see no signs of him closing on Shapiro. Oz is gaining. At the moment, Mastriano is not.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Shapiro. This creep Shapiro worked for that crook Torricelli. Torricelli was forced to withdraw his campaign for Senator in NJ when he was exposed. Mastrangelo’s people should be using this

"Associated with CBS"

Only in the sense that he most often trashes CBS' methodology.

They use registered rather than likely voters, which Trafalgar still admits are difficult to gauge because conservatives won't talk to pollsters.

Bottom line: looking good in PA, home of 2 famous NFL teams --the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Eagles. LOL. Maybe better than good.

Ds are toxic for all and to all except the 30% blinded by TDS. If Shrek and Biden don’t lay waste to their party this time, I’ll seriously advocate for a divorce of country: red v blue, coasts v heartland.

I’m pretty confident it won’t be necessary.

It's all about getting out the vote.

Repubs...go to the polling place....no mail in unless absolutely necessary.
