Vladimir Putin today made a speech announcing that the conflict in Ukraine would be escalated, resulting in citizens attempting to leave the country.
In Putin's speech, he said there would be a partial mobilization of the military. Reservists and ex-military personnel with "certain military specialties and relevant experience" will be subject to conscription, he said.
Following this, according to the Russian online newspaper Lenta, flights to Armenia, Turkey and Georgia sold out.
"All tickets for direct flights to Istanbul and Yerevan were sold out in a few minutes after Putin's address," the publication's Twitter page wrote in a caption.
It also shared screenshots of the pages and how they could not be booked.
E Rosalie L, a Johns Hopkins interdisciplinary scholar, also said that the costs of flights began to skyrocket yesterday, when Putin was initially set to make his speech.

You mean the MSM’s, right.
Git yo you Ivan.
India and others are stopping purchasing crappy Russian weapons.
Links?:) Algiers just signed a $7 billion arms deal with Russia on the last week. It also doubled the price for African gas to the EU.
And your whining about it here, will not change the fact that a very special tree has been left in a very special place for you in the Red Forest, amongst all the others where we will hang the moscovite dogs who have been supporting this war.
Sure.
Possibly as a good will thousands of Russians will leave Moscow’s employ to get to safety with Ukraine?
Hi little khokhol, did your mother stop feeding you her borscht and you now have to depend on stone soup?

You realize you’re using a Russian ethnic slur for Ukrainian’s right?
I think you better get a small coffin to bury your living standards in. I’d promise to play a small violin at the ceremony:)
Or like France where they would say, “Better Hitler than Blum.”
No, most Ukrainian lovers don’t know the difference between trizub and vyshivanka. Their knowledge on politics behind conflicts is even worse. It is entirely emotional based on misleading media propaganda.
Brellium isn't the sharpest knife in the troll kitchen. 😂
Total reserves (Naval, AF, and Army) are around 2-million for Russia. The number that gets discussed is 300,000 for this activation. My humble guess...most all of the 300,000 are Army reservists, who fall into the infantry, logistics and tanker occupations.
The airline ticket business reflects routes to countries that have friendly visa-situations with Russia.
It is conceivable that when they start calling for activation orders...that 5,000 to 10,000 of this group have already left the country. I doubt if anyone is really tracking those who left Russia.
You are confusing regular reserve and BARS active. The former is like 25-30+ million. BARS are already in Ukraine, the plans are to draw from ROTC grads and the regular reserve. I don’t see a problem. The idea that everybody in running away is simply ridiculous. I doubt if any of them is going to see action until spring. And then they are likely to stay home to warm chairs for regulars who’d get deployed.
By Spring, there will not be the need for new Russian missile fodder.
The war will be lost in total by that eventuality
What are you smoking? I understand that psyops are enormous but adults need to have some critical thinking. There is no chance in hell for Russia to lose it.
Russia has already lost. There is an army in the field but Mother Russia is dying as the world has shunned her and all she stands for
If Russia attacked a NATO country, would you support Russia or NATO?
If that NATO country was the US, would you support Russia or the US?
Putinists are waiting with baited breath to justify a nuclear strike on the US. They’re still butt hurt from Russia’s 1991 collapse and Kosovo but can’t honestly state their true position lest they be revealed for the America hating nutbags that they are.
The Putinists here should go and backfill that Russian manpower shortage. With their Putin Uber Alles mindset, why would they not jump at the opportunity? How could the pass on the chance to be paid <$20 monthly, gain minimal training and deploy to a war zone with little to no ammo?
Don’t you see that the world is changing? Russia was shunned for three decades by the West, it simply doesn’t want to try to fit anymore. It is supported by most of everyone except G7 and Europe.
Do you know why where is inflation and rate hikes? The world rejects USD and T-bonds after the Russian reserve were frozen. What is going to happen once you are unable to export inflation with a 30 trillion debt?
Agree. Putin is just feeding meat to the front and playing for time. He’s clearly lost the shooting war and will be playing a mostly defensive posture now while praying his Soros EU allies do his bidding.
