Deal averting railroad strike has potential to fall apart

The White House-brokered agreement to avert a railroad strike has the potential to fall apart, threatening widespread economic disruption right before the midterm elections.

Rail workers are set to vote on the tentative deal reached between unions and railroads Thursday morning. If any of the 12 rail unions fail to ratify a new contract, nearly 125,000 rail workers could be headed for a strike.

The agreement would mandate two-person crews, cap health care costs and allow workers to take time off for medical appointments or other scheduled events without being penalized, all key concessions won by unions.

The deal also provides 24 percent raises over five years, back pay and cash bonuses, similar terms to those offered by the White House-appointed presidential emergency board (PEB) last month.

Something I’ve always wondered about union membership today. Who votes for the leadership? It seems the leadership is always out of sync politically with the membership. Where’s the advantage of keeping such out of touch leadership in power? Is it all due to corrupt voting practices?

The key word is "potential"

(My Comment) : Thusfar, only 5 smaller unions have agreed to the contract.
The current contractual deal is awaiting a vote.

“Senate Democrats just blocked our bill that would have given railway workers a big raise”

Today’s Wall Street Journal says the average railroad worker makes $100,000 per year.

“...the average railroad worker makes $100,000 per year.”

Take a look at what city Bus Drivers make in Socialist Democrat-run Madistan and Milwaukeestan, WI.

That, and MORE!

However, we need rail more than we need empty buses driving around, so there’s that...

My prediction is that the final vote is planned to fail. The supply chain must fail for the Great Reset to be implemented. It all seems to be “Orchestrated Crisis”.

The entire Big Labor/Biden gambit is a total charade.

Both wanted favorable press to promote voter turnout.

If Democrats and especially enslaved Black democrats don’t turn out in November, the cause is lost

Simple problem, easy solution. Repeal the 1935 National Labor Relations Act, restore collective bargaining to its bona fide status as price-fixing and a violation of the Sherman Anti-Trust act, and treat a strike as what it is: criminal extortion.

Why? Selfishness.

If the rail strike happens the economy will fail, Biden won’t look like a hero, people will be miserable, the Dems will lose the midterms and America will be saved.

Sounds great to me.
