Hi there, I'm one of JimRob's FR FB Admins.
The Zuckholes just disabled our FR FB group.
FB is a democrat, communist organization.
I know many of you don't even use and actually shun and despise FB; actually Jim's main use for our FB forum is when the FR motherboard here goes down for some reason or another and we can gather there and get updates.
Anyway, our FB forum has been disabled, whether it will be re-enabled isn't known at this time.

You’re right, I have no use for FB. My life is just fine without it.
For anyone who thinks that it’s just too hard and inconvenient to dump and shun fb, amazon, and other enemies now, just wait to see what hardships arise from our collective apathy and unwillingness to seem to be outside of the fold. Try GAB or another site for backup. Don’t be concerned if the ubiquitous propaganda has declared these sites to be racist or some other scary moniker.
I don’t need another forum. FreeRepublic is enough for me.

About a year ago, I set up an FB account. I did it because so many people are using ‘Marketplace’ and I wanted to have another option to see who is selling what used equipment in my community. Anyway, I’ve never told anyone I have the FB account, I never used it to communicate with anyone (other than a handful of sellers), I never posted anything on it... I think I only visited it a few times when I was looking to buy something. Anyway, about a month ago I got a notice that I was shut down for “not meeting community standards” or something like that... and it seems that there basically is no way to communicate with anyone to figure out what on earth went on. I don’t really care but it is curious... .
I hope you get it back soon, but if you can't, perhaps you can set up shop on a different social media platform.
Google has denied TruthSocial from being in the app store so that android users can download the app.
Google chrome is a browser, so you can get on the website. Honestly, chrome is the greatest surveillance tool evef made, and everywhere you go on the web in sent to google. Use Brave, or hardened firefox, but avoid chrome. It is spyware.

I don’t have a Facebook account and I don’t think I’m alone in that. It might be better to create a Free Republic account on Truth Social so that we here can follow that account and get information should this site go down. I think a lot of Freepers are already on Truth or will be soon.

BTW, I finally got through to a human at Comcast and it looks like it might be a modem problem.
If they haven't fixed it by Wednesday, they will send me a new modem, so maybe it was just a technical problem and not a Trump filter.
We'll see.

I used to use it when FR was down, but I haven’t used it in a long time.
Never have even signed up, on FB.
