Inflation remains the top issue for Americans heading into the 2022 midterm elections, while only one percent of voters said the economy is in “excellent” shape, according to a Wednesday Quinnipiac poll.
The poll asked respondents, “In your opinion, what is the most urgent issue facing the country today: Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, COVID-19, inflation, climate change, health care, racial inequality, immigration, election laws, abortion, gun violence, or crime?”

I know it is a little early yet, but where are the Republicans talking about the issues? IMHO they are too busy out to get Trump.
Inflation ranked first at 27 percent with no other issue reaching double digits: Gun violence (nine percent), global warming (nine percent), abortion (nine percent), immigration (eight percent), Ukrainian war (two percent), and coronavirus (one percent).
I would say the federal government taking over what is reserved for the states. DOE, EPA, Federal Reserve and many other agencies should be disbanded.
Kinda proves that 1% are complete idiots.
They are at the Country Club sipping Mimosas with the Democrats. Pinkies up of course.
...or demonrats who are still in power...
ah, but I am merely repeating what you said.
Well, way more than 1% are comparative idiots, but many of these lesser endowed individuals can still see that SOMETHING is clearly not OK with the world, They may assign all the wrong reasons for their emotional discomfort, but the fact that they recognize an unfolding crisis may impel at least a modicum of critical thinking.
Just don’t expect them to think things through without a little encouragement, though.
Are you better off, or worse off, today, than you were in November 2020? Want to rethink your vote in light of intervening events?
“Kinda proves that 1% are complete idiots.”
Not idiots; I think those are the 1% that are personally benefiting from this economy, and don’t care a whit about the rest of us.
They probably get government grants for climate change.
And/or are public employees.
Inflation and the energy crisis and the collapse of retirement savings, a triple header.
The 1% are the ones taking all the money from the other 99%. It’s good to be King.
They’re using abortion as a club in Wisconsin in our Governor’s race.
Just got a text today asking me if I stand with Tim Michels (R, WI) and his agenda of denying abortions in the case of rape and incest.
Um, he doesn’t stand for that! Yeesh! Abortion is only popular among the hard-core baby killers in our state. Nobody cares outside of Dane & Milwaukee counties. Most everyone is RELIEVED that we won’t have as much blood on our hands when Jesus comes back again. ;)
Serpent head was right. It’s all about the economy!
Watch for GOP on the issues....
They have to get going fast.
In Michigan every half hour or less some stations are replaying the paid ad attacking the GOP candidate for governor Tudor Dixon on one-—and only one——topic:
She hurts “a woman’s right to choose” and they now openly crow it’s about taking away the right to abortion. They use snippets of news media Dem pals making her look “bad” (anti-abortion). Other ads show Gov.Whitmer (D) with adoring citizens as the state is supposedly in a comeback.
So they really love that abortion issue on the Dem side. No ads I’ve seen for the other side.
That 1% has to be the ones Robert Ringer used to say “represent a danger to themselves and to others.”
That 1% is the group that is getting all the government money laundered through Ukraine in various industries.
Just browse some of the polls from this past week.
Every last poll internal is "It's the economy, stupid."
You cannot have $10 bacon and not expect Joe Sixpack Bacon Sandwich to completely rebel, and be properly motivated to vote as well.
But the GOP has to hone their primary message to "We are the inflation beaters, but we're going to do it through American Exceptionalism", and so do the MAGA candidates.
P
We need a five point contract with America - a reason to elect the whole team.
These are the FIVE things we’ll vote on in the first hundred days:
Then list them...
