Yeah, Trump's Dr. Oz Endorsement Probably Cost Us Pennsylvania and the Senate
PJ Media ^ | 08/18/2022 | Stephen Green

Dr. Mehmet Oz, who earned former President Donald Trump’s primary-race endorsement in April, is going down in flames according to a new GOP poll.

Republican-affiliated Public Opinion Strategies reports that surgeon-turned-TV-host Dr. Oz trails Democrat John Fetterman by nearly 20 points!

Trump gave Oz his “complete and total endorsement” before the wide-open GOP primary of six candidates, a move that probably sealed the deal with Pennsylvania Republicans.

The doc won in a squeaker, barely beating out second-place finisher David McCormick, 31.2% to 31.1%.

The former president praised Oz’s positions on abortion, crime, the Second Amendment, border security, the military, education, energy independence, and election fraud. Those are all well and good, but before lending an endorsement, someone in Trump’s position first needs to determine whether the recipient is at all likely to win the general election.

In Dr. Oz’s case, right now that’s a big, fat NO.

Let’s face it: He is not a good candidate.

After winning his primary, Oz went AWOL.

While Fetterman was literally incapacitated by a stroke, the doc failed to capitalize on a prime opportunity to define himself and his prone opponent:

Recent reporting suggests that Oz might not have taken advantage of those several weeks where Fetterman was sidelined, a significant span of time during a race that could be integral to party control of the Senate.

Puck is reporting that the former TV personality was in Palm Beach, Florida, until June 9 at least, not holding his first post-primary event until June 10. Oz reportedly also traveled to Ireland to visit family at the end of June and did not return until early July.

No. Oz is/will be doing that on his own. He is the worst possible candidate on the ballot. This is a pile of 💩 and I can’t believe we are actively passing away 2 important offices in what could/should be a red state.

“No shocker here. Oz is a phony who suckered many people.”

His opponent is just as bad if not worse. The difference will be that the Repubs are gutless cowards and lack the will to fight. With the way everything is and everything that happened the republicans could easily have 60 seats in the senate if they had a spine.

Fetterman looks like a thug. Wears a hoodie and has tattoos on his arms. And he is to the left of Bernie and AOC. If PA can pull off even a semblance of a fair election, Oz will win. You know Trump will be making several campaign appearances in PA. The raid on Trump’s home will help energize the American Firsters. So far, in the primaries, GOP turnout has been 19% higher than 2018 and the Dems 7% less.

I’ve tried to read all the comments on this thread and don’t see anyone noting this point about Mastriano. And then I checked this group “Public Opinion Strategies” and they are most definitely Loser GOPe types for open borders. So color me highly skeptical on these poll results yet there’s over 100 “sky is falling before Labor Day” replies to this article. Honestly, it’s unbelievable how badly our Freepers are doing in reacting to the lame stream GOPe pearl-clutchers.

Hannity saw Limbaugh’s popularity and copied him....but without the intelligence and convictions.

Hannity always was a hollow man.

It was revealed yesterday that Fetterman endorses decriminalizing heroin and opening “safe” injection sites.. that should be OZ’s score, no pun intended.

Yes, instead Dr Azz is getting the name of Wegman's wrong and complaining about the high cost of ingredients to make crudites!

Seriously.....that was a campaign ad he made on Twitter.

Biden’s approval in PA is what? Maybe 42 percent. And the Dems candidates for Gov and Senate are up by 18. Yeah, I don’t think so. Follow Richard Baris of people’s Pundit. He’s the best pollster. He is on Gettr, Rumble. Do yourself a favor and learn something. Stop getting wee wee’d up on these bull sh!t polls.

Ok, so what does he say?

Gotta wonder what the thought process was to endorse Oz. I thought it unwise and odd at the time but also assumed Trump and team knew something I didn’t.

I felt the same way about Trump endorsing Perdue in GA for governor. Perdue was RINO through and through and had zero fire in his belly. He was AWOL at the Trump rally in GA because of covid and literally phoned it in. My one hope was that the voters of GA who voted for Trump in 2020 hated Kemp as much as I did. Not only did Kemp win his primary with 70%, that odious Trump-hater Rat-booger also won.

SMDH

GA is dead to me. I hope Kemp and Rat-booger get their asses whooped by cheat-by-mail-in ballots and drop-boxes. I hope Ruby Freeman's gang has another burst pipe incident and brings out their suitcases. See how Kemp and Rat-booger would like that. Let GA have Abrams if that's what it takes to flush out the RINO scum. If Trump does run in 2024, Kemp and Rat-booger will allow the Rats to steal it again just like they did in 2020.

Zero sympathy for PA if they vote for Rats after how they have ruined this country in two short years.

Well, lets see...
Arlen Specter,
Pat Toomey,
Oz.

I suppose I shouldn’t worry about the ‘best’ choice for a Senator.

Maybe he will be the second sleepy Senator from PA and just keep the seat occupied like Casey does for the dems.

You are spot on.

Actually, there was an appealing conservative-speaking competitor to Oz, but was new and untested. Her name is Kathy Barnette, an up and coming black woman conservatuve candidate to keep an eye on:

https://www.cnn.com/2022/06/22/politics/fact-check-barnette-oz-endorsed-primary/index.html

That’s why I described Trump’s Oz endorsement as “practical”, as in Barnette needs to withstand winds of hostility before ascending to one of 100 US Senate seats.

In Oz’s case, there’s also the billionairess Oprah Winfrey factor and maybe, just maybe, Oprah will one day get with the Trump Train, at least not impede it. This is also a huge factor in making a practical decision.

Color me skeptical. The GOPe is peeved. They want to lose, repeat WANT to lose and will sabotage the candidates that they didn’t support to prove a point. It is their party and they either get their way with their weak, do nothing, Mitch McConnell acolytes or they burn it all down. They are part and parcel of the Deep State.

So, here we have a GOPe polling outfit showing what? OMG, exactly what they want to happen and the narrative they want to build.

While OZ is not my first choice, he is hitting the campaign trail and punching hard. He is discussing the issues. Fetterman finally is coming out of his basement. He didn’t come out of his basement unless he felt he had to.

Patience, like all Trump candidates, the powers to be ALWAYS tell you that they have no chance. Isn’t that a coincidence?

Good analysis! The real problem is America’s ungodly behavior. If 50% of us want to elect godless immoral communist candidates then we may be doomed!

Is anything ever Donald Trumps fault? HE is the leader of the party, and it is HIS endorsed candidates who are going down in flames.

If we lose the Senate it is Donald Trumps fault. Period.

Did you see that your boy Doug is down by 15? 1. This is a heavily biased poll and 2. Doug (acceptable conservative) is only outpacing Oz by 3 pts!

No, it will be people like yourself who didn’t vote because the candidate wasn’t up to your standards!

Crock...this poll is heavily biased. Neither McCormick or Barnette would be anywhere near the lead in this poll!

You have no idea where i even live. I will vote for the Trump endorsed candidate in my state (Ohio). He’s not great, but he’s adequate and certainly better than the alternative. But go ahead, keep talking about things you know nothing about.
