Happy Recession Day, everybody!
Over the past several days, we’ve watched with great interest to see just how the media would find a way to downplay our ongoing economic downturn under President Joe Biden. We’ve seen plenty of hackery already, but we new that the real spectacle wouldn’t get underway until the numbers officially came out. Well, the numbers officially came out, and the GDP shrank by 0.9% in the second quarter. That’s a recession, folks.
Earlier this week, Erick Erickson made an observation about the media’s treatment of the Biden administration’s shameless attempts to redefine “recession”:

Now that we’re here, in this moment, it would appear that the press is, for all intents and purposes, dead.

Is there any doubt that if Donald Trump were president instead of Joe Biden, the media would’ve proclaimed that we’ve been in a recession since 2016? OK, maybe that’s a slight exaggeration. But at the very least, they’d’ve been screaming “WE’RE IN A RECESSION” for the past eight months. And you know what? If we were seeing these numbers under President Donald Trump, they’d be right to be talking about a recession. But we’re seeing these numbers under President Joe Biden, and the media just can’t bring themselves to be intellectually honest about the economy.

We have a corrupt and dangerous media and knows that they will actually aid and abet the enemy of this nation. However, how many people in this country have their heads in the sand and believe they have a president and a gvt that cares about them? What a sad time we live in.

When obtaining a license for television stations, I believe
they have to promise to provide unbiased information to the
community, that is fairly truthful.
These programs are in-kind political donations. They are not
a balanced presentation to the public. They are pure
unadultrated propaganda.
Even the local news has given over to describing things in
the terms the DNC (must) dictate to them.
I don’t believe radio stations have to avoid being biased.
Perhaps this whole premise is flawed, but it is amazing
how they can lie their asses off and still remain somewhat
respected in the communities they serve.
The View, local news programing, the late night shows,
and on and on it goes, full-time propaganda for the
Communists.

A lot of restaurants in my area are already going under. Gas is a necessity for most, high priced served food is not, I guess. People had better prepare, but even that might be getting next to impossible before long given the extended duration of what’s coming imo.
