Attempts to tie up Trump rally tickets to suppress attendance won’t work, organizers say

While Democrat activists have been busy trying to figure out a way to tie up tickets for the Trump Save America rally on July 9 at the University of Alaska Anchorage’s Alaska Airlines Center, it’s not working.

On Twitter, Trump detractors have been sharing ideas for how to reserve tickets they don’t plan to use. The effort has fallen flat, because the free tickets to the Trump rally do not actually reserve a seat — they are first-come, first-served. The line for the July 9 rally opens at 6 am. The free ticket signup is mainly to help organizers of the event — the Trump organization — understand how many people to expect.

In 2020, the now-disgraced Lincoln Project engaged in an effort to suppress attendance at a Trump rally when one of the project’s leaders helped his daughter run a social media stealth campaign to get young liberals across the country to tie up all the free tickets to a Tulsa, Oklahoma rally.

The ploy went viral across the country and sucked up thousands of tickets, making it look like more than a million people had requested tickets to the Tulsa rally, which then suppressed attendance, since people who wanted to go realized they would never get into the venue. The media then reported that the turnout was disappointing to the Trump campaign, and that became the narrative that led the news cycle.

That won’t work this time. The Alaska Airlines Arena on the campus of UAA holds 5,000. Only those with purchased tickets are guaranteed a seat, and those tickets are limited. Those who show up and stand in line are not guaranteed to get in.

“If people want to skip the line and buy a guaranteed seat, they can contact the campaign at info@kellyforak.com and we will send them a link,” the Kelly for Alaska campaign said.

A political action committee for Sarah Palin for House and Kelly Tshibaka for Senate also announced a special event planned for before the rally to raise money for the two as they seek offices in the U.S. House and U.S. Senate. The “Alaska First Fund” is a subfund of the Save America Leadership PAC affiliated with Trump.

Since forming, the Save America PAC has received $124.4 million in contributions and still has significant reserves.

Thanks for playing, Steve.

Be careful where you put those pineapples, SS. By the way, you've lost a lot of weight very fast. You look a little sickly. Get well soon. https://t.co/k9gDtz9Dnh— Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) July 21, 2020

Juneau any other way to try to gum up the works?

(JoeB should schedule a competing rally on Adak, Alaska’s island paradise)

Stupid libs proving, once again, how stupid they really are.

I’m getting the impression these sick morally repugnant Marxists were never actually born. They were grown in some kind of feces petri dish then transplanted into some kind of cocoon to mature into a human-like toddler where they mentally stay for life.

Trump was blocked from holding a rally in Reno area in 2020.

It got moved to MINDEN airport-—45 miles south.

There were bus shuttles-—hay fields were used to park cars-—and some people still walked over a mile to see DJT.

The only fault I have with your theory is the implication there more than a single brain cell. That doesn’t seem possible.

All leftist culture should be confined to a Petri dish.

I remember in 2016, pre-nomination, the liberal elites (presstitutes) were giddy reporting that their basement-dwelling minions were ordering tickets to a Massachusetts rally, KNOWING that this would doom his candidacy.

Six years later the gatherings are still swarmed with enthusiastic attendees.

This is why I get so annoyed when people give credence to MSM sources on Free Republic.

You cannot trust anything from the "mainstream" media as they will suppress the truth if it goes against their narrative and they will knowingly propagate outright lies if it serves their purpose.

The deep state establishment and the media they control stole the election from Trump in 2020 and they are determined to keep him from running again in 2024, even if they have to resort to manufacturing evidence to get him indicted on something.

And for those who are saying to look past Trump and focus on DeSantis for the future of MAGA, they need to realize that this same crowd will go after DeSantis just like they did with Trump. They will have no mercy, especially if we allow them to push Trump out of the way for 2024.

I've attended three DJT rallies...all in New Hampshire, 2016...2019...and (early) 2020. The second and third ones had TSA-type security screening (surely set up by the Secret Service). At neither of those two rallies was my “pass” checked. However, there were many, many people who arrived after me who were denied entry into that large auditorium.

They’ve been trying this exact same thing since 2015, and it hasn’t worked yet. Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

They have to resort to dirty tricks. They aren’t capable of acting up front. It’s where they are. Sneaky tricks... nothing else will do.

They had two, but the constant rubbing to create a ‘thought’ wore one out.

How to plan for a Trump rally:

Plan for SRO, with outdoor monitors for those who can’t get in. Calculate estimated audience. Now double the estimate and add a third.

The Rally Thread today should be interesting once it gets going. I lived in Alaska for 20 years and it’s possible I’ll see some familiar faces. But that was 30 years ago, so maybe not.
