Since the leaked preliminary decision was to overturn Roe v Wade, a vote flip would be to keep Roe v Wade the law of the land.

Given C.J. Roberts’ track record with the Affordable Care Act case, the leak was a strategic move aimed at forestalling Roberts from being able to pick off either Kavanaugh or Barrett.
