I would be surprised by anything huge today, I suspect the jokers at the fraudulent J-6 "hearing" would have coordinated as all these branches are corrupted.

The question in this case was whether a pair of Republican legislators in North Carolina can intervene to defend the state’s voter-ID law when the state’s Democratic attorney general is already defending the law.

Ruling - YES they can

Suspect that Roberts is delaying the release of the abortion decision as long as possible. He is still hoping that somehow he can change one vote.

The underlying litigation in this case is a challenge by the North Carolina NAACP, which argues that the state’s voter-ID law violates the Voting Rights Act. Today’s opinion doesn’t resolve that issue. As Amy explains, it’s just about who gets to participate in the defense of the law.

Damn NAACP, against voter ID

Instead of ruling by the Constitution alone Roberts will try to split the baby.

Scotus always proves just how political they are by holding the most politically contested decisions to the end. They clearly are not blind to it as they would have you believe

He is still hoping that somehow he can change one vote.

**********

If he does this will establish the precedent that the Court’s rulings are subject to leaks, manipulation and political intimidation. I other words, it loses all credibility.

It would be nice to know which side won, and a synopsis of the issue

Nance v. Ward: 5-4 (Kagen): From the Blog: This was a case involving the procedures by which an inmate must raise his challenge to the method by which the state intends to execute him.

I would have thought that the votes were weeks ago...and that the only remaining issue would be writing the opinion.

But who knows.

I would have thought the Court would issue the rulings when they were done. This “Glen Beck” process of making folks “wait for the big one” seems a little too dramatic.

If the decision changes, then Roberts will have finished destroying the credibility of the Court.
