Data from the latest Economist/YouGov poll finds that Americans have grown more pessimistic when it comes to Ukraine’s path to victory. This week's was the first survey since we began asking who is winning the war — about a month after it began — in which more Americans say that Russia is winning (25%) than say Ukraine is (19%). In recent weeks the share who say neither side is winning also has increased, to 38%.

Guerilla. Gorillas, while strong and aggressive when riled, tend to charge right at a machine gun nest or tank baring their teeth, and die.

The National Endowment for Democracy helped with their elections. NED is a democrat NGO so democrats helped “secure” Ukraine’s elections in 2014. “Most secure election ever”.

American say the craziest things
Looks like that means more Americans are starting not to believe the mainstream media.
Would be nice if more FReepers didn’t believe the mainstream media.
Yep.
“Where are these people getting their news? It’s Facebook. Facebook is to blame for spreading Russian disinformation.”
I assume that is sarcasm. Please advise.

Watch the Scott Ritter News channel on YouTube. He seems to me to have the best analysis of what’s going on militarily, and he agrees with you. Not even close, he was angry yesterday at the “stupidity” of Washington.
He said that Russia is expending between 60,000 and 70,000 munitions per day in Ukraine, and that Ukraine is firing between 5,000 and 6,000 per day.
Exactly - the only ‘news’ that is being gained from polls is as a metric for the people peddling propaganda.
The question being asked is actually, “How well is our tale being heard and accepted?”
Maybe they believe their eyes rather than what the administration is saying.
Well, Russia got kicked out of Kiev and failed, failed to take other cities and now are concentrated in Donbass, where they are doing slightly better.
Taking all of Ukraine is now not an option and Russia’s failure is evident in their losses.
Can they save face by consolidating and winning in Donbas? Not really but it is all they have.
Stupid headline. Makes it sound like Americans will hold a vote to decide who wins.
how is this possible? just last month Russia was imploding, lost at least 45 colonels, and had abandoned their tanks and ran.
Only a total idiot would think that “ukraine” was doing anything other than getting totally stomped at this point. You should get used to the real name (”Малороссия”) of the place, I don’t think anybody’s even going to be calling it “ukraine” much longer.
But that's just what Ukraine ("Borderlands" is the translation of that name) will never be. The war is over whether it will be a Russian puppet state or a Western puppet state. For long term peace and stability, most especially for the people living there on either side of the border, I believe the former is a better option.
That’s only because Russia IS winning the war. All over but the mopping up.
