Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis raised eyebrows on Wednesday when he referred to Elon Musk as an African American, thanking him for his support for the Republican Party.
Musk had tweeted that he had voted for a GOP candidate for the first time (Mayra Flores in South Texas) and added that he predicts a “massive red wave in 2022.” He said that he was unsure who his pick for president in 2024 would be but that he was leaning towards DeSantis, who is rumoured to be considering a presidential run.
In response to that, DeSantis told reporters: “I’m focused on 2022… But with Elon Musk, what I would say is, I welcome support from African Americans, what can I say?”

As 1SG in a training company at Ft Dix before I went to Desert Storm part of the “inbriefing” for new troops was filling out all kinds of paperwork. One form required you check a box for “Race with boxes for Caucasian, Negro, Other, etc. Troops would mark out Negro and write in African American. I’d give them a new form and tell them defacing the form and/or failure to check a box would result in disciplinary action. Several went to the IG on me. I asked the IG investigator what other DD and DA Forms he would like me to falsify.
Why would that raise eyebrows after all Musk is an African that became an American.🤔

Your language and dna likely makes you Latin from the original Tiber River tribe, at least in part. And BTW the NYC schools consider Spaniards to be Latinos for placement purposes. Carmen Farina whose parents came. from Spain identified herself and was identified by Red Bill DeBlasio as latino.
I would be happy with DeSantis or Trump in 2024. Anybody who is MAGA is better than the current regime which is MARS (Make America Really S—k).

You're right - Trump's had four years dealing with the American economy - on top of running successful businesses for years. Trump will be able to get it back on track and humming along fastest. Let's hope Trump chooses DeSantis as his VP... We need DeSantis in '28 and onward.
I like DeSantis I really do. However, he is another professional politician. I want to see that brand scarce. I look for reasons not to vote for them. I do for them, when it’s the best and usually the only choice available. I don’t feel good about doing it.

I don’t see any record of accomplishment in the private sector let any record of just being in the private sector. Government bureaucrat even in honorable necessary service is still government.
