The White House defended President Joe Biden's economic record on Monday as the nation experienced historic inflation, gas prices over $5 a galloon and the stock market dropping.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre argued President Biden actually made historic economic gains, which would help the American people go through these economic 'challenges.'
She blamed inflation - prices in May were 8.6% higher than a year earlier - the greatest increase since 1981 - on the covid pandemic and on Russian President Vladimir Putin's war in the Ukraine.

I was reminded of a local news segment from a week or so ago where the news weasel interviewed an obese black woman who was wearing a Biden Harris T-shirt about the effects of inflation. The woman was complaining (complaining and blaming other people for their own problems is what black Democrat voters do best) about how it was hurting her and obviously didn’t have the brains to link her vote to her problem. This goes along with a poll I heard today that says 29% of those polled approve of Biden’s job. Do they all live in Kalifornistan or NYC? Are most of them massholes? Who knows.
Dow is now down over 800 pts (~ -2.7%) from the close of market on 1/20/21 (when BiteMe parked his rear in the White House). Under Trump, this would be on the nightly TV news and top of the hour news everywhere (TV, radio, online).
