While Lou Barletta has racked up a number of high-profile endorsements, Republicans across PA have voiced concerns with Mastriano’s record and electability. Mastriano faces seven issues heading into the May 17 election.
1. Mastriano is Democrat Josh Shapiro’s Preferred Candidate to Run Against.
2.PA Swing Voters Suggest They’ll Vote for Shapiro Over Mastriano.
3. Mastriano Fractures Pennsylvania Republican Party.
4. Mastriano’s Record on Chinese Coronavirus Restrictions. In March 2020, Mastriano suggested rolling back medical privacy laws for Americans, writing in a document that “existing HIPAA regulations are threatening the lives of our citizens…”
5. Potential Campaign Finance Violations by Mastriano
6. Mastriano’s Record of Supporting Voting Law that Helped Spur 2020 Election Issues. In 2019, as a state senator, Mastriano joined his Republican colleagues in passing Act 77, which Gov. Tom Wolf (D) signed into law ahead of the 2020 presidential election. The law abolished straight-ticket voting in Pennsylvania, where a voter can check a one-party box, while expanding no-excuse absentee voting across the state.

Let me guess. Barletta is the better choice?
I’m guessing that #7 is the big focus here.
Jeez… is Breitbart in the slow process of slip-sliding away?
Yep, Barletta is the “chosen” one by the establishment.
The GOP of PA are worthless…
The peons aren’t following what they were supposed to do in either the senate or Governors races…
We must scare them back into the plantation..
The pathetic and transparent nature of this crap shows you exactly who and what the GOPe is.. they have zero respect for their constituents…
They will spend the entire general election doing everything in their power to undermine Mastriano and Barnette if they win, take it to the bank.
The Uniparty will not accept being denied.
If only the GOP fought half as hard against democrats as they do conservative imagine what this country would look like.
I’m no huge fan of Mastriano, but it’s pretty clear he’s the candidate the voters are backing… might have something to do with he’s actually tried to do something about the fraudulent 2020 election perhaps? Was it sincere or just political opportunism who knows, but the voters seem to be on that side
The PA GOP are just pathetic.
They want to destroy Pennsylvania. Alex Marlowe should be fired. They bash Dr.Oz for two months. Then bash Kathy Barnette. Now attack Doug Mastriano.
1. Barletta is a better candidate than Mastriano with fewer negatives.
2. Barletta has a better chance of winning in November.
Hillary wanted to run against Donald Trump.
2. PA Swing Voters Suggest They’ll Vote for Shapiro Over Mastriano.
Yeah I believe that. /sarc
3. Mastriano Fractures Pennsylvania Republican Party.
So they claim.
4. Mastriano’s Record on Chinese Coronavirus Restrictions. In March 2020, Mastriano suggested rolling back medical privacy laws for Americans, writing in a document that “existing HIPAA regulations are threatening the lives of our citizens…”
That was in the beginning before we knew anything about the virus.
5. Potential Campaign Finance Violations by Mastriano
Potential? Democrats & RINOs always use that excuse.
Now help me to understand this, both Mastriano & Barletta voted for this, yet it only negatively affects Mastriano. Why is that? Should it not affect every Pa. Republican?
7. Mastriano’s Smears Against Breitbart News.
Ah. I'm beginning to see more clearly now what the real issue is here.
Good for you and anyone looking to break the back of the wishy, washy Corman, seersucker suit, political cabal.
Barletta couldn’t take down Casey… color me dubious about his electability statewide
As I have long advocated kill the R wing of the uniparty (GOPe) and start a MAGA party. The GOPe neocons only, will be the third party and MAGA will be the first party with the Dems a distance second.
I looked at PredictIt and was very surprised to see Mastriano was at 96 and Barletta was at 5. On PredictIt, that means bettors think this is a lock forMastriano.
There's that word again.

Agreed, and well stated.
Color me dubious about his electability statewide.
Is Pa the state where they changed election law that expanded mail ballots, and a court found that unlawful because a required referendum of the law changes was not done first. A court looked at that and said yes, the election was UNLAWFUL as state election law was violated.
That is a basis to file a quo warranto action in fed court to remove all Congressional representatives of the state seated as a result of the 2020 elections.

Pennsylvania Ping!
Please ping me with articles of interest.
FReepmail me to be added to the list.
I long ago determined I am voting for Barletta. I really don’t have a problem with Doug. He was leading the fight against the Big Steal before RINO Corman pulled rug out from underneath him. To be honest some of the reason citing in this hit piece are actually reasons to vote for Doug. For instance, “Mastriano Fractures Pennsylvania Republican Party.” Fine with me, the PA GOP needs to be rebuilt from the bottom up. I am fed up with RINOs. As for, “PA Swing Voters Suggest They’ll Vote for Shapiro Over Mastriano”, that absolute horse hockey. Being a Democrat is the kiss of death this year. Shapiro should be ripped to shreds by any Republican running in November. He is a do nothing leftist hack. Prime example is never investigating Gov. Wolf and Sec. of Health Levine for mass murder of thousands of seniors in nursing homes. That linkage needs to be made, and repeated over and over again. Plenty of other examples of Shapiro ignoring crimes in PA.
I’m voting for Lou too. He’d make a good governor.
