Fmr. Obama Treasury Counselor Rattner: We Have to Deal with Potential Stagflation for the First Time Since the 80s

On Friday’s broadcast of Bloomberg’s “Wall Street Week,” MSNBC Economic Analyst Steve Rattner, who served as counselor to the Treasury Secretary in the Obama administration, said that we’re dealing with a potential stagflation problem where “address both an inflation problem and potentially a growth problem at the same time” for the first time since the early 80s, and that while he isn’t predicting a recession, he “wouldn’t be shocked if we had one somewhere down the line” because stagflation oftentimes causes recessions.

He got the decade wrong. Stagflation was the 1970s under Carter.

Uh, it was the 70s, NOT the 80s.

It was Carter, the worst president until 0bama, that got us into it. That’s why he was only one term.

It was Reagan, who was elected in 1980, that got us out of it.

:He got the decade wrong. Stagflation was the 1970s under Carter.”

They keep trying to link it to Reagan.

He’s working for Michael Bloomberg now.

Guess who’s on Deep State’s shortlist for the next presidential figurehead.

This is entirely the fault and responsibility of those who vote without thought for whoever has a (D) after their name, AND those who looked the other way and allowed (or supported or participated in) blatant vote fraud. I cannot forgive this.

I have people very close to me who fervently vote for the democrats, will continue to do so, and who still think Obama is brilliant and ethical. I love them, but there is no question that their choices divide us, and in a sense I have no choice but to put up a protective wall that isolates me from them. Their choices are a direct assault on my way of life and my beliefs. They are empowering people who are destroying what I've worked for - and now it's destroying the economic security I sacrificed to attain for myself and my family.

Putin is a POS, but what many don't realize is that there are tons of Putins in political positions in the US. Probably worse. They are only under control, for now, because of the US Constitution - which they despise. These people hold these positions because of those among us who vote for and empower them - or turn the other way when others illegally do so.

inflation/depression/recession/stagflation is all well and good if you're pulling down a govt check or pension....

what happens to the rest of us, we retired, who worked decades....

we're being slowly roasted and nobody cares...

of course lucky congress was able to give themselves a 21% raise...
