The right-wing firebrand laughed off comments made during an interview with One American Network (OAN) complaining House Speaker Pelosi was secretly investigating members of Congress and constituents.
“Not only do we have the D.C. jail, which is the D.C. gulag,” said Rep. Greene in a now-viral video. “Now we have Nancy Pelosi’s gazpacho police spying on members of Congress, spying on the legislative work that we do, spying on our staff and spying on American citizens that want to come to talk with their representatives.”
After being roundly mocked for confusing the Gestapo, the official secret police of Nazi Germany and in German-occupied Europe with gazpacho, a cold tomato soup often served with cucumbers and cilantro, Greene surfaced on social media on Thursday morning.

“Yeah, the story is that some dumb republican said a funny, not that capitol police broke into a congressman office dressed like construction workers and were snooping around the congressman’s files and were caught doing it. Totally the most important part of the story is to talk about cold soup.”

MTG is awesome. She is bringing it to the Dems. They make fun of her because they fear her, but she is no joke. Neither is she a GOP AOC. If they want to laugh about someone misspeaking they have the top guy already.
Tell me something she’s actually done that helps conservatives. Not something said on social media, something she’s actually done.
Since their “covert surveillance” people were easily detected they are pretty much a Keystone Kops sort of incompetent organization. Thus “Gazpacho Gestapo” is an excellent epithet.
Wasnt it going to roll over due to too many vistors or something too? Maybe we need to build the cities underwater and tie the island to them to help with all these buoyancy issues. At least that would keep it from floating over to China.
What we need is a couple hundred more of MTG and no more of this type of garbage from “our side”.
This puts at 1 faux pas vs 100+ on Biden.

Joe biden stumbles over three words in a five word sentence. So I wouldn’t get too sanctimonious over MTG’s slip of the tongue. As GW Bush once said, “Is our children learning?”
