More than 1,500 previously classified JFK assassination files have today been made public, including documents about killer Lee Harvey Oswald's contact with a KGB agent two months before the shooting.
The files were released at noon on Wednesday by the National Archives, after months of delays by Biden who had promised to make them public but then stalled, claiming COVID backlogs was the reason.
They include memos detailing anonymous phone calls to the US embassy in Canberra, Australia, a year before the shooting, where the caller said the Soviet Government was plotting to kill Kennedy, and details of Oswald's meeting with a KGB agent at the Soviet Embassy in Mexico City two months before the shooting.
Another call was placed on November 24, two days after the shooting, claiming the Russians were behind it.
Oswald's wife Marina, who was was Russian, is referenced throughout the files. One details how a Moroccan student contacted the CIA after the shooting and claimed he had been her boyfriend. The relevance of that to the investigation is not known.
In September 1963, Oswald met with Consul Valeriy Vladimirovich Kostikov, a KGB agent. The meeting has been referred to in previous documents but new details emerged today. It's unclear who initiated the meeting.

This is all a distraction for what they say Russia is doing to Bidens Ukraine buddies. Make it look like it was Russia as an excuse to war. Why else release it now? Don’t fall for it.
IMO There are only 2 real players that had the means and motives, the Cubans for the Bay of Pigs and the mob, specifically Marcello and Giancana for RFK. I keep telling people that the clue to who was behind the assassination was where was Oswald headed before he ran into JD Tippit. Oswald had no car, and had no one picking him up. His only escape route was through the bus line. That tells me he was heading to a safe house, either operated by cubans or the mob.
So much for the Warren Commission report. Might as well use it to light my fireplace.

Yes, he did. But when he was Governor of New York and when campaigning for President, he was an urban ethnic left-winger.
The big question would’ve been how President Smith would’ve handled the aftermath of the 1929 stock market crash, and it seems it would’ve been the same as FDR and Hoover to an extent, and that would be by centralized government Socialist schemes.
If Smith had tried to reign in that leftist agenda as President, he’d have been deposed by his own party at the next election by a more radical leftist. FDR, after all, had Huey Long breathing down his neck, who would’ve been far more Stalinaziesque in turning America into a Fascist-Socialist state with him as the King (although FDR was scarcely less destructive - and had his poor health not seen him die at just 62, he could’ve conceivably set himself up to remain dictator for 30 years, requiring a civil war or revolution to get him out of power).
Lincoln was a "mercantilist" which nowadays we call a "crony capitalist." (i.e. a captalist who uses government to enrich themselves. )
Funny thing is that when you get high enough in the "elite" class, you start supporting communism.
I guess the "elites" figured out that "communism" is a smoke screen for neo-feudalism, and the aristocracy always does well in a feudalist state.

I have lately been watching several videos about Russian history during the Soviet era, and you would be shocked at how silly they were about covering up embarrassing situations.
One of the reasons Chernobyl happened was because the reactor defect which caused the accident was discovered about 10 years earlier, but was classified as "secret" because it was embarrassing to admit the Soviet Union could make a mistake in it's reactor design.
You should watch "Death of Stalin." It is billed as a dark comedy, but it realistically portrays the insanity that was life in the Soviet Union.

One is not disinclined to consider that you might, in reasonably good probability, have a point there... what with LBJ (RIP) being the way that he was...
