Interesting. In “Alas, Babylon,” the event at Latakia was what started the nuclear exchange between USSR and USA.

An Israeli spokesman issued a statement in Hebrew. Translated to English he said “It blowed up real good”.

That location is Assad’s power base. Something must have really pissed off Israel to hit it.

Will this cause a supply chain problem in Syria?

the attack targeted an arms delivery for pro-Iranian militias and took the form of missiles fired from the sea to the west.

Is that book worth reading? Sounds pretty good. Tom Clancy used to do a very good job in building up to the plots he crafted. Sum of All Fears was especially good. Even included, by name, Cincinnati Milacron.
He had, as they say, ‘the receipts’.
To: BobL
Not sure it was them. Syria says it is, or Syrian media says it is.

Just finished reading “Alas, Babylon” for the jillionth time. Still relevant.

It was overly optimistic. A nuclear exchange would be much more devastating to both sides.

From the video, that isn’t much of a strike…looks like a glorified dumpster fire. Antifa does more than that any given night in Portland.

Baby aspirin factory?
Israel isn’t stupid and doesn’t have ammunition to waste.
