Interesting. In “Alas, Babylon,” the event at Latakia was what started the nuclear exchange between USSR and USA.
Is that book worth reading? Sounds pretty good. Tom Clancy used to do a very good job in building up to the plots he crafted. Sum of All Fears was especially good. Even included, by name, Cincinnati Milacron.
