A side comment: August 28, 2013 a military jury consisting of nine colonels, three lieutenant colonels, and one major convened, having convicted Hasan of all charges— and sentenced him to death by execution. How can the Federal government claim authority to try a person for murder, especially after the finding in a state court is “Not guilty”? That would be double jeopardy, explicitly prohibited by the 5th Amendment.
No Federal interest was involved. No law enforcement at ANY level, even, was involved.
The most that could be brought against a defendant found not guilty would be a civil case, not a criminal case. And that only by the person or persons directly harmed.

They bottom line is that he did not commit a crime. No state crime, no federal crime.
There is only a federal law against murder if it is committed against a federal employee related to his duties, on federal territory or property, or in commission of a federal crime.
Kenosha is not federal territory or property and the scumbags were (probably) not federal employees doing their jobs (FBI agitators).
The only possible federal crime would be if Rittenhouse in defending himself violated someone’s civil rights. Unfortunately for these clowns, the scumbags were white, so they won’t be able to ginn something up like that.
