The jury in the murder trial of Kyle Rittenhouse asked Judge Bruce Schroeder in the Kenosha County Court on Wednesday morning whether it should view video evidence in court or in private, prompting the judge to quip: “My nightmare has come true.”
The judge was referring to controversies over the video evidence presented by the prosecution during the trial, including whether zoomed-in images enhanced by artificial intelligence were admissible, and whether the prosecution withheld a higher resolution version of a video than the version that had been provided to the defense until the last day of the trial.

It’s the prosecutor who needs to be under arrest. Tampering with evidence.
That’s his nightmare. He can place blame on prosecution though for this. Prosecution should be disbarred for this.
I will become the only way to put an end to this charade.
The jury hasnt the guts to make a decision IMO.
Dismiss the charges with prejudice.
The jury is trying to punt by referencing the difference of the original video the prosecution hid and produced a lesser quality film of to the defense. They want a directed judgment from the judge.

He needs to get over himself. It’s not about him. Do your job, judge.
I would think it would be a serious problem in any event — but if the jury thinks the video is a crucial piece, and if the Prosecution withheld this crucial evidence from the Defense, then that seems unforgivable.
But this nightmare is his own making. He let the state run this trial, and now he finds out they are crooked.
Lets look at the misconduct:
a) Not serving the Grosskruez search subpoena (withholding evidence)
b) Witness tampering (Grosskreuz' testimony changed 180 degrees upon cross exam)
c) Brought up Kyle's initial silence (5th Amendment)
d) Misleading evidence, withholding data regarding the modified video. Withheld information the the software manual explicitly states that enlarged photos are not for forensic use
e) Failure to provide defense with original resolution video
f) deliberate misstatements of both the facts and the law
The judge wants the jury to decide, and the jury wants the judge to decide. Neither side wants to be a target. It may well end up being a nightmare, but not in the way we would hope.
What?!?!?! And maybe jeopardize that cushy taxpayer funded retirement? NO WAY!!
This idiot judge never should have given the jury the weekend off. They should have been sequestered on Friday. And now he’s commenting on what’s in the newspapers?
Kyle is more of a man than this judge.

Even the ‘high res’ version is unclear to me. They just want the jury to buy a made up version of reality to save their own asses from the mob.

***Yup, he wanted to hand the political football to the jury. But he shares much of the responsibility/blame/consequence of what happens next out in the streets. In fact, it might even be his responsibility to shoulder all the burden himself in the face of egregious prosecutorial misconduct.
