Archaeologist Claims Mount Sinai Found in Saudi Arabia

Experts believe they’ve finally found one of the holiest sites in the Bible — miles from where it was previously assumed to have existed.

A biblical archaeologist organization, The Doubting Thomas Research Foundation, claims it has found the actual mountain where, according to the Old Testament, Moses lead the Israelites – a mountain that was enveloped in smoke, fire and thunder – and where, at the top, Moses received the Ten Commandments from God.

But in actuality, the society now claims, Mount Sinai, one of the most sacred places in the Jewish, Christian and Islamic religions, is Jabal Maqla, which lies in the Jabal al-Lawz mountain range in northwestern Saudi Arabia.

Coincidentally (smirk) this happens to be what Muslims have been claiming all along.

How does one lose a mountain for all these years?

Well, if Moses led his people to freedom from Egypt, and parted the Red Sea to do so, then it would make sense that they ended up in Saudi Arabia.

“How does one lose a mountain for all these years?”

It goes on vacation.

Billy told Ethel they were going to
They were going to New York!
“Ethel, we’re going to
New York!”
But first they were gonna stop in Las Vegas

Reed Sea, not Red Sea. Mistranslated.

A lot depends on the starting point while fleeing the Egyptians. Sinai makes more sense, and having been to the top of that mountain, the power is still very strong there.

Also, the Burning Bush is still inside the monastery - and it is the only one in existence.

Moses tended his uncle’s sheep for forty years “in Arabia”.
Bible told us plainly.

...that is all

How old is that map? Must be at least almost 30 years old.

It doesn't have Eritrea. Ethiopia is now a landlocked country. The most populous one in the world.

Where did you get the map. Eritrea came into existence before widespread use of the internet.
