For a potential presidential candidate who had built up a good amount of conservative goodwill, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is projecting the wrong message to keep her name circulating in the hat. Admittedly, I was hopeful for her just a few months ago, but her actions since then have been made me back away.
The latest example of embracing Republican Establishment corporatism is abysmal. What’s worse is that she demonstrated her embrace of one of the most hated industries today among MAGA conservatives: Big Pharma.
“Workers whose employers are mandating a vaccine for continued employment have the power to say no. Our robust economy and job market gives them the option to find a new employer that values personal choice and responsibility, and doesn’t force mandates on their employees.”

Noem dropped the ball here. An employer vaccine mandate has to come from Congress anyway & signed by the President. No employer has the power to dictate that you must be vaccinated.

It is easy to say “Eh just get another job” but in practice, it is not necessarily all that easy.
Let’s say you find another job that does not require mandates...Well, if it is not local, then you are looking at moving...Got a house have to sell? Got a spouse who has to find work? These mandates can and no doubt will cause major family stress and disruptions.
She should be standing up for liberty and fighting mandates—especially in light of what Dr. Malone and other expert virologists are saying...These vaccines should not be in widespread use as they are going to extend the pandemic and make the mutations stronger...
IMHO what she should do is take a stand like the Montana Gov did...I believe mandates won’t be allowed in Montana. My respect for Noem has diminished since her stance on transgender sports—this latest “Let them eat cake” type mentality has moved me to the “won’t support for future National office” position.
Or force them to fire you first, so you can file unemployment.
