A statue of Martin Luther King Jr. in California was vandalized with “horrific graffiti” in a despicable act that’s being investigated as a hate crime, officials say.
Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia said the likeness of the civil rights icon at Martin Luther King Jr. Park was defaced over the July Fourth holiday weekend.
“The LBPD are investigating this as a hate crime and we are working to catch whoever committed this awful act,” Garcia tweeted Monday. “Our MLK statue is a symbol of hope and justice for the community. This hate and desecration has no place in our city.”
A photo posted to Twitter showed the statue spray-painted with what appeared to be a swastika and SS bolts — two common neo-Nazi and white supremacy symbols, according to the Anti-Defamation League

Hmmm... maybe a false flag, but was it a hate crime when BLM/ANTIFA was pulling down Lincoln, Washington, etc?

I also believe there is no such thing as a hate crime. The crime is beating, shooting, maiming. etc etc. Hate is a thought....thoughts are not crimes...they are what they are...thoughts.
I think the statue is an ugly piece of cr**.

False flag? Agreed. When it is discovered who really did it it will quietly be buried in 3, 2, 1. However, the MSM will keep it alive as a MAGA atrocity somehow related to January 6th. And when the lie is repeated often enough it will become truth.
But pulling down statues of founding fathers, major leaders and well-known figures from our history is not horrific? This nation is just about completely gone.
There is a camera pointed at the statue about 35 feet away on the Youth Sports building. This should be easy to solve... if they want to solve it ....

There could have been a drive-by shooting in this same MLK park that killed 3 and the news would not have been as hyperbolic

White folks know a crime like this would get a person 20 years in solitary confinement.
One statue gets vandalized this year, and they’re going nuts and on the rampage to find out who.
Hundreds of statues last year painted, trashed, broken, toppled, in plain public for all to see, and NOTHING.
Hell with them.
