A federal judge in Manhattan tossed an indictment against a Bronx shooting suspect because of a lack of racial diversity in the White Plains grand jury pool — the first such ruling since city cases were moved to the suburban county amid the pandemic.
Judge Analisa Torres sided with defendant William Scott, who had argued that black and Hispanic people were underrepresented in the grand jury pool that returned an indictment against him in June of last year.
Scott was charged with possessing ammunition in connection to a shooting in the Bronx, but was charged in the Southern District of New York’s White Plains division.

In DC you have to register your ammo; a vet was arrested when cops found an unregistered shotgun round rolling around in the trunk of his car during a stop.
There will never be “racial diversity” in jury pools because: there are very few of the preferred minority who are not addicted to drugs, in jail, mentally up to the task, and who understand English well enough to know what’s going on and be able to show up.
So the jury will always be disproportionally non-minority, and all convictions of minorities will be thrown out, and that is exactly what the left has been hoping for.
Whitey, on the other hand, will not have this privilege, and will be thrown in jail and his assets taken and redistributed, as the left has been hoping for.
jury of your peers as in skin color? jury of peers as in gender? jury of peers as in functioning brain cell level? jury of peers they all do the same sort of work or aquire their income similarly as you do? always some way to complain you didn’t get the jury make up of your peers.
Are you actually saying there are some demographic groups that never have a larger percent membership on a jury than they do in the general population? For example that no jury has ever had three or more members who happened to be black?
