Judge Tosses Gun Case, Grand Jury Too White
NY Post ^ | June 29, 2021 | Ben Feuerherd

Posted on 06/29/2021 9:02:01 AM PDT by Ahithophel

A federal judge in Manhattan tossed an indictment against a Bronx shooting suspect because of a lack of racial diversity in the White Plains grand jury pool — the first such ruling since city cases were moved to the suburban county amid the pandemic.

Judge Analisa Torres sided with defendant William Scott, who had argued that black and Hispanic people were underrepresented in the grand jury pool that returned an indictment against him in June of last year.

Scott was charged with possessing ammunition in connection to a shooting in the Bronx, but was charged in the Southern District of New York’s White Plains division.

His attorney had argued that because Scott was charged in the White Plains division — instead of the district’s more diverse Manhattan division — prosecutors excluded potential jurors from southern counties of the district.

Following this logic: Defendant's acquittal reversed after judge finds s/he/it is too (insert choice of color here).

Nope.

Anti-white.

Learn it, live it, love it.

Practice it until you are comfortable saying it to anyone, any time it comes up.

It is one of our most powerful weapons.

This “judge” should be yanked off the bench ASAP. She belongs working to defend drug sellers at a Hispanic legal aid office.

Well, it’s obvious that certain demographics have different views of what is legal. I do believe we’re in for Jury Nullification henceforth. “ Whitey deserved it!”

This makes no sense. Don’t both attorneys and the judge agree on even grand juries?

Just the very name is racist.

Interesting. So what proportion of people of color constitutes a legal jury to try a person of color? Would a white defendant be entitled to a certain proportion of white people on his jury? This is what happens when courts become social engineers, and this is based on the assumption that jurors are all racially biased.

And his peers.

But the typo or error on the other person's post is relevant to a saying I like.

To the leftist judge:

Why don't you take a long walk off a short pier?

This is straight up illegal. Not that there will be any justice brought. But I would appeal this and then sue the living snot out of the judge personally and the state. Lawyers, lot of money to be made here. But we live in a failed Republic that has no more justice than you would get in Myanmar.

So all of the Chauvin and other defendants can object to the nearly all persons of color jury?

I posted previously that Roger Stone’s jury should have looked like a row of Judge Smails (Ted Knight) types like he does. They definitely did not. Not even one mature white person.

I pray that the Leftist Judge PERSONALLY experience the justice he hands out. I hope that the situation he presided over, happens to his wife, daughter, son or parents. I hope he personally experiences the grief of losing someone close, for no reason.

Then feel the rage, of some self-important “judge” throw justice out the window, in a sheer abuse of power, to demonstrate the utter contempt they hold for the people, the victims, society and America, so they can grandstand at the alter of Social Justice.

How are they going to get a jury with Blacks on it?

Doesn’t this judge know blacks are too dumb to figure out how to get government issued identification for voter verification.

So even if they ARE selected they’ll not be allowed into the courthouse without a valid ID.

Piers and peers, what typo? Relax and celebrate diversity and mediocrity.

Did the judge run in-depth racial profiles on each of the jurors?

What if several self identify as African American?

Or have several Motown records. Doesn’t that count for anything?
