John F. Kerry, the special presidential envoy for climate, said only months ago that those losing fossil fuel jobs in coal and hydraulic fracturing will find they have a better choice in jobs in either the solar industry or as wind turbine technicians.
That was then. Now, a wind blade manufacturing plant located in Aberdeen, South Dakota has announced it is shutting its doors permanently in less than two months.
The disappearance of Molded Fiber Glass will displace over three hundred workers and their families. It marks another major loss of energy jobs in the state following President Joe Biden's halting of the Keystone Pipeline on the first day of his administration.
...7 of the top 10 wind turbine manufacturers are Chinese companies.
...more than half of the world’s newly installed wind power capacity was built in China in 2020.

Some folks think the goal is to reduce to US population to 100 million. And I suppose most of those can live in caves, trying to survive on nuts and berries. A few, of course, will live quite well. Energy consumption will be no problem for the special people.
The Green New Deal!..............................
We have added 52 million people since 2000.
We should have some North Korean instructors have training camps on how to live under a harsh dictatorship in near starvation conditions for educational purposes only.
“...reduce to US population to 100 million....” Now, about those guaranteed perfectly safe and effective covid shots pedo joe is peddling....... The global elites would like to save the earth by lowering the world population to around 500 million. They better hope the keep the right folks around.
Utter persecution of S. Dakota, too. Trying to cancel 4th of July celebration at Mt. Rushmore, cancelling energy jobs from pipeline, now this. Utter vindictiveness of the Biden minions towards any one or entity - state, city, person - who supported Trump.
South Dakota is in a drought.
The fireworks are canceled fairly often.
I have family out there. Wildfires are no joke.
I’m very surprised that this story ran in Yahoo’s news feed. Maybe the Mainstream Media IS waking up…….nah.
You would think the blades could be shredded and a use found for the result.
Covid vaccines may be doing that...we don’t know yet...and any “shortage of people” will be...of course...because of climate change.

Cant imagine the cost of importing wind turbines from China!! Today a 40’ Container costs $10,000 to ship from Shanghai to LA. Up from the stable $3000 (2016-2020)
(Ive heard as high as $15K, but cannot confirm)
Stoopid climate! 😲
Now why on Earth would mods have removed my post? Was it offensive to see turbine blades being buried????
You are right. I had to look it up, it shocked me so. I remember when we had 200 million.
Solar, though, I think will work -- at least in the south. But only as long as we do it at the individual level and not at the government level where they force utilities to use solar even when it's not going to work -- all while everybody focuses on the red tape of the regulations and not on maximizing efficiency. If you do it yourself you're more liable to customize the system for your specific needs and get nice throughput -- without making the government cronies rich on the façade of helping us out but not really.
How many mansions do Al Gore and John Kerry have combined?
And between them, how many private jets and swimming pools?
Yes, some will live quite well...
