Given the proximity of the Presidential election, however, I dont believe the senate should vote on the nominee priority the election in fairness to the American people

Thanks!
She is not saying she will vote no on Amy. She just trying to win reelection.
I do NOT see an “I will vote no” in there. She said “I don’t think we should vote”. I excepted her to say that
She would be incredibly foolish to vote no if there is a vote, libs already loathe her for voting for Kav. I don’t think she’s that stupid.
Collins has also said that the Senate should not confirm Trumps nominee in the lame duck session if Biden wins.
Collins, you’re trying to negate my vote. In 2016, I (along with 63M other Americans) voted to give Trump the authority to nominate people to the SC, for a term that runs to 1/20/21. Who are you to say he mustn’t?
Nowhere does she say she will vote no. Or Murkowski.
If indeed she finesses this, then she still has a shot at holding her senate seat
Former Senator Collins....
Susan Collins is a NO on any list of mine as well. I have NO use for anti-American Sue.
lol....she is..but now shes desperate as well
Gee, I was taught that a Presidential term lasts for four years, but apparently I was taught wrong and it is only three years and nine months, minus some indefinite number of weeks or months that liberals deem necessary to ensure that no presidential authority is exercised too close to an election.
Cocaine Mitch had better WHIP the GOP vote and PUNISH SEVERELY whoever doesnt fall in line. He has the power, and its about time he used it!!
Lets go, Mitch, this could be the pinnacle or nadir of your entire career!!!
Untrue. She said that she was willing to MEET with Garland in 2016, not that she WOULD vote to confirm him. She's taking the exact same position in 2020 -- she is open to the Senate vetting a nominee, but doesn't think the vote should be held until after the election. I can't believe I'm defending this RINO, but her actions in 2016 and 2020 ARE consistent, and that's one of the few Senators I can say that about.
>> I do NOT see an I will vote no in there. She said I dont think we should vote. I excepted her to say that She would be incredibly foolish to vote no if there is a vote, libs already loathe her for voting for Kav. I dont think shes that stupid. <<
Valid point. She said she feels the vote should be held after the election, not that she will vote no on a nominee if she's forced to vote now. I think its very unlikely she will actually vote against a GOP nominee unless its a Amy Coney Barrett type than the Dems can easily caricature as a "extremist" who is bonkers and "unfit" for SCOTUS.
As much as loathe Collins for being a back stabbing RINO, she's in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" position -- no matter what course she takes, its going to motivate tons of voters to "strike back" by voting against her in November.
I have far LESS faith in Lisa MurCOWski, I could see that witch joining the RATS in voting down even a non-controversial Trump judge just so she can get a pat on the head for it from the mainstream media. Romney would also likely pull something like that -- vote NO on ANY Trump judge just because the "timing" is wrong.
He hasn’t even announced the pick. Bye.
She’s almost always been a “NO” as a politician.
And who is surprised. Calling a 50-50 split with Pence breaking the tie. Get the vote in before the election to boot.
Actually, she said after meeting him that she would be willing to vote on him.
She’s stupid. Is she’s saying she’ll vote NO because of the timing? So she would give a qualified candidate a NO because she doesn’t think there should be a vote just yet? That is irresponsible and shows she is not fit for office.
Vote on the merits of the candidate, not on the process.
Still there's time to appoint her and vote on her. Like Biden's pick, Kamala Harris - anchor baby with non-American parents ("black" female - missed a bit on that one and it'd be nice if she was a natural born citizen as required by our Constitution but that's no longer an issue apparently) I do not understand why its not the most qualified but that she's the right sex.
Why cut out half the population of candidates?
Stopping now to avoid being banned. Arghhh!
Politics. Still - please Just Do It!, President Trump as nike recommends. We'll back you. TH54
