Didnt do anything wrong: Oregon Fire Marshal explains resignation
Sep 12, 2020 / 10:48 AM PDT / Updated: Sep 13, 2020 / 04:41 AM PDT
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) Oregon Fire Marshal Jim Walker was placed on paid administrative leave Saturday. Then just hours later, he resigned, according to the Oregon State Police.
OSP did not immediately provide a reason for Walkers departure. However, Walker spoke with KOIN 6 News Saturday evening during which he said he was placed on leave by OSP Superintendent Travis Hampton after trying to help a co-worker whose family was missing in a fire zone.
I did so with the specific understanding that my visit had been cleared with the appropriate team personnel, said Walker. He said after, Hamptons assessment was that he had overstepped his role and took action without the authority to do so.
And although Im losing my job because of it, I would do it again, said Walker. He said he was an at-will employee, so he could be dismissed for any reason whatsoever.
I didnt do anything wrong that would lead to me resigning, said Walker. My take is, if I dont have confidence from management, then its not an agency I want to continue to work for.
To come into the office on a Friday thinking you were doing the right thingI care about my employeesand then to be put on administrative leave when we have catastrophic fires, which Ive been actively involved with
so for me to be put on administrative leave when Im the highest level fire official in the state does not make any sense at all to me, whatsoever, said Walker.

I await his morbidly obese, black, female replacement with great anticipation.
The mayor of Portland and the governor of Oregon wanted to see Portland burn, now the whole state is burning. This is beyond corruption.
Thats basic management 101. Thats why lots of people think bosses are heartless.
Occam's Razor. Yet in this age of strife our angst demands nefarious conspiracies be considered.
A little like that carrier captain that leaked the info that his carrier group was out of action due to covid.
It’s extremely weird but they’ve been depersonalizing, dehumanizing and demonizing us for many years.
When Tennessee was burning a couple of years ago I recall all the leftists and antifags laughing about it on social media and rooting for people to die. I will not do that now that it’s a liberal state that’s under the gun. Because I know all kinds of people live there and it’s not fair.
“If you are the head of the Fire Response, your focus HAS to be on thatnot on individuals.”
True, but he said he had clearance, and I tend to believe him.
Besides, you don’t “can” a competent professional in good standing for just one minor infraction, if it is even that, and replace him with an obvious rookie, especially in the midst of a crisis.
Something smells really bad here.... Where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire.
On September 12, 2020 Jim Walker offered his resignation and Superintendent Hampton accepted. *Superintendent Hampton then officially appointed Mariana Ruiz-Temple as the Fire Marshal for Oregon.

“Did you bother to read the article and what he said? He was fired for trying to help find a temporary employees missing family.”
The fire marshal said he had clearance to do that. And yet you instantly take the government’s side of things. You sound like a big government bootlicker.
“Oregon State Police Superintendent Travis Hampton to retire Nov. 1”
Sounds like this Travis Hampton doesn’t want to lose his $200,000 a year pension, so he did what he was told!
Exactly.
When all else fails look below and pick someone to hold the bag of sh## you created
How about doing some legwork and see if the new Fire Marshal is qualified for the job?
Instead you take the lazy, easy way out and throw out the lesbian tag.
Lame
Something is wrong here,I agree.
[ATSOS: Arson Terrorists Shot On Sight]
[Oregon] Multnomah County Sheriff:
We are at a loss for words. Deputies & Corbett_Fire responded to a small brush fire in the 1700 block of NE Brower Rd in Corbett at 3:52pm. Neighbors heard pops and saw 6ft flames in the forest. Using a shovel and water, they were able to put it out. Deputies found fireworks...
The fireworks were placed about 100-150 yards off the road. Deputies are conducting high visibility patrols in rural Multnomah County. Corbett_Fire will remain in the area. If you have any information on this, call the non-emergency line. If you see an active fire, call 911.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?????
Is she a Harris “spreader”???

The old chief had been in the job since 2009. When the SHTF, his second had to step in because, evidently, he wasn’t around to lead the effort. Perhaps that was the old chief’s best move: putting someone in place who really could herd the cats.
Likely, the Chief had a Trump lawn sign.
Management 10 says that you have to show that some critical part of Fire Response was neglected by helping that individual.
Having said that, the fact is, government by nature, does not help individuals. Government by nature is a force to control, coerce, and kill, not to help individuals. Too many have that confused. Our federal government was created to be a LIMITED power to protect us from invasion which includes force and killing. UNLIMITED government , which we have now, is when the government tries to coerce and kill its own citizens.
Nevertheless, those within government can and should help individuals if and when they’re able.
