A contractor who was working at a Florida airport opened up a container to find a live missile.
The shocking find happened on Friday afternoon at Lakeland Linder International Airport east of Tampa.
It's not known how the missile arrived at the airport which is mainly used for private jets and no longer for any kind of military use.

"How did he know it was live?"
The crate said "Acme Live Bomb."

"ANY helicopter or light plane than can carry it externally could, with time and some care and an adapter kit carry it aloft and...shoot the thing."
A couple good A&P mechanics and a decent Engineer should be able to jury-rig it.
(I spent years doing non-standard retrofits and repairs to aircraft - not that I could do it, but know the people who can).

I could see it used for a suicide mission, if there was a method to arm it and use a small aircraft as a delivery vehicle.
To launch it would require a great deal of sophistication. Possibility would be a privately owned former military aircraft available, but even that would require a lot of wiring and the addition of a pylon. All doable but the only way a terror group would go the Air to Air route is if they could not obtain one of the multitude of shoulder launched systems still missing. It could also be a dumb$hit terror wannabe who thought they had a plan.
AF1 never flies unescorted. A small plane or outdated military aircraft would be a beautiful target for any modern aircraft. I can assure you they would not get within locking range of AF1. The minute they pinged AF1 they would be attacked. There are other options of course, maybe it was enroute to a private militaria collector. Somebody failed to check to make sure the warhead was inert. Similar stories abound so it has probably happened before. I have seen collectors with entire aircraft sitting in their back yard. They are not and never will be flyable again they just look cool.
It is also possible terrorists wanted the warhead. If so why ship the whole missile and take a chance?

The potential of that is chilling. ANTIFA firing it at Air Force One comes to mind.ANTIFA? No way. They're not smart enough. Our own government maybe.

I'm always misplacing my car keys and my surface to air missiles. Happens all the time.
IMHO this was a deep state placement and discovery. Crossfire Chaos Hurricane, 2020, #237. It will not stop.

“Trump recently canceled an event in Florida.”
He is also going to his residence in New Jersey at the golf course. He may have some intelligence about some going on’s in Florida and has changed his place of operation.

An air to air? I believe the CIA has aircraft of its own. The CIA are the enemy, just like the MSM are the enemy.

Yuppers. Not impossible, but much more work than a lanyard, a wire, and a couple of C-clamps and bungee cords.

Yeah, thats big enough and fast enough that I doubt the anti-MANPADS laser defense system on AF1 could take it out.

Highly unusual. Not really funny.
I’m sure there would be a way to use it. Probably those who accidently delivered it would know best.
You’re enemies include plenty of infiltrators throughout what’s left of USGov and our military. Plenty of infiltration.

How did he know it was live ?"Live" is an irrelevant term here. "Armed" is more to the point. And it isn't armed until the fighter aircraft hauling it around arms it.

Because they want the public to not know. The cogent points are of course from whence this came, and to whom is it addressed....

According to the article, the Air Force guys are currently disarming it.
If you meant Air Force guys here at FR, I dunno anything bout French missiles except A/A missiles like Sparrows and Sidewinders look small on fighters but are actually big compared to a human being.
