It is cases like this that make me Fully Supportive of having Public Servants and Public Employee’s, especially Judges and Cops, Swatted on a Regular Basis. When they start Killing Public Servants and Public Employee’s, it will change

There was a distinct pause between the deceased kneeling and the fatal barrage. His partner also lied to cover his partner.
They are both culpable in murder. They are both totally at-fault.
Not in the usual sense, but the escalated call was wrong, and led the cops to a higher state of alert.

How did you come to THAT conclusion? He opens the door, the cop immediately sees the gun, and screams “Hands!”. The guy appears startled and immediately bends at the waist and puts out his left arm and hand out. It is not an aggressive posture AT ALL. Presumably he is putting the gun down with his right hand. Cop immediately shoots him 3 times. Very bad shoot.
This falls into the category of: innocent citizen, acting lawfully and rationally, killed by police.
He fell forward when shot, and the gun was onside the house, so most likely dropped as soon as the cops said “Gun! Hands!”. In that spilt second he was doing his best to comply with sudden, shouted commands.
I’ve looked at a lot of these, and it seems to be standard police procedure to let the citizen bleed out.
Will chalk it up to a COVID death.

If you read the transcript of the 911 call there is no doubt he was SWATTed. The caller should be prosecuted. From the 911 call:
“I could say yeah if that makes anybody hurry up on, get over here any faster.”
Should have sent a social worker; then this wouldn’t have happened!

Someone knocked and yelled “Phoenix Police!” That doesn’t make them a cop. Blinding light to the face.... Is the kidnapping rate in Phoenix still high? Drug crime? He immediately raised his weak-side hand. It looks like he knew better than to raise the strong-side hand...maybe he was putting the gun down. In my town, the cops would have expected someone to answer the door with a handgun. A friend of mine did it. They said nothing. Granted, it wasn’t a domestic call.

Suicide by cop usually means the guy WANTS the cop to kill him and basically forces the cop to shoot him. Is that what you are saying or just that he accidentally made a poor decision and got killed for it?
Any fault is total fault. Especially if somebody is dead. Why do we give cops all this training just to say “well these are dangerous times”? F that. Our country’s cops need to STOP SHOOTING PEOPLE. This is just happening too much.
Well if you don’t answer the door for cops they’ll kick your door in. So that’s not exactly an answer.
It’s hard to support cops when they are trigger happy idiots.
