Whether you have prediabetes or not, knowing what blood sugars are and how they work is important, as prolonged high blood sugars can lead to chronic illness. The food you eat will metabolize to glucose, or sugar, which fuels your body's cells to function properly. However, issues occur when the concentration of glucose in the blood is higher than the body's needs. The key to maintaining steady blood sugar levels is to choose the right foods.
While there are no foods that will cause blood sugar levels to drop dramatically, there are foods that reduce blood sugar average readings over time and will help you avoid drastic spikes. Let's take a look at some of those foods.

Foods high in chromium and vanadium. LOOK IT UP.
Yup.
Thanks for the concise post, preventing needless clicks to MSN. Doing this should have been obvious from the get-go, but apparently it is not.
“These aren’t foods that reduce blood sugar levels. They are foods the will raise blood sugar levels if you eat them instead of other foods that will do so even more.”
Being part of the media, they’re not allowed to tell you to eat meat and other animal foods, as that contributes to climate change, which, apparently, is a higher priority than the health of their readers.

Yup...blow me out of the water.
All plant-based foods have carbohydrates (sugar).
All animal-based foods have protein and fats (essential amino acids and essential fatty acids).
Plants are Nature’s way of converting sunlight into sugar.
Note that the article lists plant-based foods as the way to lower sugar — when in fact, they are the source of sugar. That’s why people have a lot of sugar in their blood — and bodies — because they put it there following the advice of these registered dieticians and other health-care professionals who make a handsome living off of all the obesity and diabetes it produces.
Unfortunately, instead of living prolonged lives in declining health, that underlying health condition makes them particularly susceptible to new viruses. The second segment of the population most susceptible to such poor immunity — are the health care professionals (caregivers) — because they follow their own flawed advice.
I’m aware and did not say they didn’t have an uptake just that it is better balanced than juice or straight sugar. It’s about food synergy as much as GI. Oats also have compounds that can help control diabetes markers.
My last check was 5.8...

Mine was 5.4 I was worried that it would be high because I found Maple Syrup and carmel corn. Last year I was 5.6
