Nike has not responded to a request for comment after Colin Kaepernick, one of their leading pitchmen, called Independence Day a celebration of white supremacy.
On Saturday afternoon, as 4th of July festivities were getting underway across the country. Kaepernick took to Twitter and accused America of having dehumanized, brutalized, criminalized + terrorized black people for centuries.
Black ppl have been dehumanized, brutalized, criminalized + terrorized by America for centuries, & are expected to join your commemoration of independence, while you enslaved our ancestors. We reject your celebration of white supremacy & look forward to liberation for all. ✊🏾 pic.twitter.com/YCD2SYlgv4

Kaepernick, the NFLs original anthem protester, has not played in the NFL since the end of the 2016 season. After a long legal battle with the NFL, in which he accused the league of blackballing him and fellow protester Eric Reid, the NFL eventually settled the suit with Kaepernick. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell recently apologized for not listening to Kaepernick and other protesters. He then went so far as to say he would encourage a team to sign Kaepernick.
Nike has a history of tolerating Kaepernicks radical activism and frequent attacks on America, especially on the 4th of July. Just prior to the Independence Day holiday last year, news broke that Kaepernick had convinced Nike to ditch the Betsy Ross Flag sneakers that the company had produced to commemorate the nations founding. As it turns out, Kaepernick had reached out to Nike company officials saying that he and others felt the Betsy Ross flag is an offensive symbol because of its connection to an era of slavery.
Shortly following Kaepernicks complaint, Nike asked retailers to return the shoes.
While Kaepernick is far from Nikes #1 pitchman...

Is Kaepernick an employee or not Nike ?
White marketed Nike products must be in significant decline.
As is Ironically Roger Goodell, Mike Florio, Lebron James and the rest of the people who said Kap is owed an apology
Thus saith the @$$hole whose Black family abandoned him to be adopted by white parents. Did anyone even notice that journalistic style mandates that Black be capitalized when speaking about the favored race while white remains in lower case?

He represents Nike, whose shoes are made by slaves in China.
Stop buying Nike and subsidizing Crapperdick.
Isn’t Nike White owned?
LOL
There’s almost no white kids or parents who stopped buying Nike items because of their stand on anything. They lost a tremendous in store volume.
how can anyone seriously point to an article or revenues or profits or losses from a quarter in which a large part of the country was shut down?
clothing and shoes or sneakers are still the one thing I will not buy online.
I would love if that was the reason for their loss, patriotism.
I am sure their sales will rebound tremendously this quarter
I literally hope they go bankrupt.
Its all on them. TAKE THEM DOWN LORD. AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO BELIEVES THE WAY THEY DO.
I almost regret the things Kaepernick says about America aren’t true because if they were, he would’ve been packed off to a permanent tropical vacation on Devil’s Island long ago.
I have not bot NIKE shoes for years...but this should hurt the brand....
I will never buy China again. I will never buy Nike again.
My whole family of 6 stopped getting Nikes on purpose. Adidas mostly now. Hope they become the jordache of sneakers.
Ouch! That hurts!
I remember over two decades ago expressing the opinion online that Nike’s taking advantage of the slave labor the Chicoms were handing to them on a silver platter was utterly immoral, magically getting profits of way over 1,000 percent. Certain people who styled themselves “conservative” (and later expressing very anti-conservative opinions) praised Nike for being such smart capitalists, in response . . .
ESAD, Poodlehead.
Goodell runs a sports entertainment business that is extremely profitable. Over 75% of his entertainer/athletes are black. Principles don’t matter to him as much as profits. If military honor guards and flyovers were in vogue, Goodell was very patriotic. Now that the Marxist BLM has the support and attention of his entertainers, he can’t say or do enough to support BLM. The man has no real honor . What he doesn’t understand is that despite his patronizing support, the Marxists at the core of BLM would like nothing more than to roast his carcass on a spit and feed him to the dogs.
We must economically destroy these people. I mean all leftists.
